"I have my own cabin at the top of the mountain so I love it there"
"Very secluded cabin, right on a river. Enjoyed our stay. You do have to either clean the cabin yourself, or pay a $120 cleaning fee. Wish it was just built in to the total."
"The cabin and location are beautiful, right on the river at the end of road. Very secluded and private which is exactly what we wanted. The nearest decent size town was about 30 min away. We loved that you could hear the river from inside the cabin. The interior of the cabin was beautiful and roomy. Plenty of room, beds, chairs for 6 to 8 people and parking for as many cars. The deck outside was huge!! Only 2 issues: 1) As a result of the 'clean it yourself' policy the place over all is decently well clean, but some places are oddly dusty or cobwebs in hard to reach places. Also, you need to be out by 11am and was all the sheets before you go. But the dry is sooooo slooooow if you need to do more than one load of laundry you'd need to get up very early. 2) The furniture is old and cheap. We were a little afraid to sit on the futon as it was clearly leaning to the right and make some very loud creaking noises every time you sat. Also the futon is the only 'couch'. The one bed sounds like its made out of rubber or something, it makes so much noise when you move or roll any one in the cabin would have a hard time sleeping. Would stay there again."
"It has been a long time since I have stayed at a place that made me feel close to heaven. The Blue River Cabin was a wonderful weekend for us. The river, the adventure up the drive way and the fact that a town was only 15 mins away, was a dream come true. We meet our daughter, her boyfriend and their dog there. We were able to let the dogs run free while we sat on the deck and enjoyed the sound of the river. When I was a child, we went deep in the bush of Canada. I had that same--next to nature--near to God--feeling at the cabin. Yet, we were able to get to a good steak house in 20 mins. The memories and the peace of Blue River Cabin will dwell in my heart forever."
