Reviews of Club Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Sapphire Valley
"We stayed here for week starting 12/17/23. It was on trade from RCI so I expected the dated room. If you’ve used RCI before you know what I’m talking about. We were in building 4. Our room was clean with the exception of the glass cooktop. There was old burnt on grease and I’d like to recommend the glass top cleaner it works like a charm!!! The kitchen did have all the necessary items we needed to prepare meals. There was no fireplace in our unit and while it would have been nice it didn’t negatively affect our stay. We also had a great view of the snow tubing. The area is nice and there were plenty of falls to see without difficulty. The negative issue we had was they were housing the housekeepers in the adjoining unit to ours. We began smelling cigarette smoke coming through the paper thin door that connected our rooms. I called the front desk who said they’d handle it and would bring towels to put under the door to keep the smoke from coming through. The maintenance guy came but he just walked into the unit with the housekeepers and left. Then a while later someone brought a towel for US to stuff under the door. We ended up leaving 2 days early because I’m asthmatic and couldn’t handle the smell."
"Staff is so nice. We love the cuteness and space. We usually secure a 2 bdrm lock off. It gives us room to spread out and seek quiet time, being comfortable and relaxing. The hot tub was always a great way to end a long day of hiking. Extra Thanks to the staff for quick and helpful information and a new coffee maker. The community center has entertainment center, a tanning bed, dry and wet saunas, heated indoor pool and a hot tub jacuzzi. We went to attend a paint your own TShirt but they had no adult sizes. We are of large stature and tall genes. It was disappointing because it was listed as an activity. We need these kind of activities to enjoy wyndhams experiences. We are so THANKFUL to get away from the hustle and bustle! Hope to visit again soon."
"I am here now until Sunday. The resort itself is wonderful. The area is one of our new favorites! The cute towns, the amazing hikes and waterfalls, the great shopping! It's simply gorgeous here. We love it! BUT...alas the unit we are staying in is the worst we have ever had. It is NOTHING like the picture that is posted on the website. It is a one bedroom suite, and straight out of the 80s. You walk into the unit, and there is a tiny living room upstairs, and 15 stairs that take you down to a dark, dingy, basement. It smells very musty. They even have a container of Damp Rid in the unit, so know there's an issue. There is a kitchenette there, Master bedroom, and bathroom. Very little natural light. We call it "Grandmas basement" because that is exactly what you feel you're staying in. I had no idea of the stairs, and have bad knees. When I went to ask for a main floor unit, I was told they were at full capacity and there was nothing that could be done. The ladies at the from desk were very nice and helpful, and I asked them to contact me, should someone leave early. Sadly, this has not happened yet, and we are considering leaving this lovely area because we dislike the unit that much. If you book a bedroom suite at this Wyndham, call and make sure you get one without the stairs!"
"We had a wonderful stay at the resort. The room itself could use some upgrades and dusting. Our place had cobwebs in the corner of the ceilings, and all the vents had dust build up. The front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The ladies in the community center and recreation center were nice and welcoming. I WOULD ADVISE YOU TO BRING YOUR GROCERIES with you. If you dont, there are Dollar General close by as well. They have an Ingles. Be mindful most places in the area close at 8 or 9 during the week."
"This place was just okay. It is duplexes, probably built in the 80s. The one on the left has a very small living room with a fold-out couch, stairs that take up a lot of the apartment, a small kitchen and kitchen table, one bathroom, and a decent bedroom with a king sized bed. Since most of the unit is underneath everything it barely has any windows and you feel like you are in a dungeon or cave. The unit on the right is much better. It also has a bedroom with king bed, bathroom, slightly bigger kitchen, and much bigger living room with more windows. If you can, stay in the right side. It is much better. The walls between the two are thin so if you are sleeping in the fold out couch on the left side and the people on the right are loud you can hear them through the door. Luckily we were next to quiet people. The pictures I'm posting are of the left side."
