"Doctor Catherine Frenkle.. your “Job” as you rudely would interrupt when an 80 year old patient who is worried with questions… is to reassure their comfort and safety. She was the surgeon for my grandmother. She had cancer in her tongue and it was a hard and painful procedure her to go through. Dr. Frenkle was anything but kind compassionate or informative. My grandmother was hard of hearing and she even yelled at her in frustration during an appointment. Her bed side manner was terrible. She seemed as though she has no emotional or social skills. 10 days Post surgery my grandmother had a severe bleed and had emergency surgery to Stop the bleeding in her tongue. Worried as most would be, she tried contacting Dr. Frenkle over and over. The staff was precious.. even her partner Dr. Milas called us back before she did. He was so kind, professional and compassionate. When she finally returned our call she was frustrated and rude. My grandmother didn’t make it to her post operation check up appointment because she passed away A week before! No calls, she didn’t call to see why her appointment was missed. Nothing. I pray for you Dr. Frenkle.. I’m sure you have a good heart.your are smart.. You are someone’s daughter.. you may be a mother. Im not sure but you absolutely need to find some compassion. If you are so busy with your job that you forget the importance of relationships with others especially patients then you may be in the wrong profession. You do not do your “job”. You may be good at cutting people, stitching them up and removing cancer but my dear there is more to a job than that.."
