"I saw Dr Nolan at Piedmont Foot and Ankle who took xrays, but then said I did "not" have a bone spur on my heel cup. He sold me $1000 of orthotics for lower achilles swelling and pain. Two months later its no better and actually more painful. I went to Cary Ortho, Dr Andersen and the xray shows a 1/4" bone spur that looks like a rooster. Dr Nolan couldn't have missed this, and I saw the new xrays. BAD integrity."
"They said they were covered by Cigna. The office experience was great, but then after the appointment it all went downhill. I needed foot inserts and an xray. They provided a paper to call my insurance and see if it was covered. The codes they provided was L3000 for custom orthodics which was covered and as a sub code, they provided Q66.6. The insurance company said they did not cover that code, but they would cover many different codes that did the same thing. They recommended that I get a handful of codes from Piedmont Foot & Ankle and call them back so that the inserts would be 100% covered. I've been calling, emailing, I even sent the doctor a message on linkedin. This is my last resort. I don't want to pay $300-400 for something the insurance company WANTS to cover. I've had some responses and call backs, but no one knows what code Q66.6 is. The office staff only knows what L3000 is. So they say they'll check with someone, then I never get contacted back. It was the paper that they provided that gave me the Q66.6 code! Perhaps someone knowledgeable quit and now they aren't capable of helping or simply saying it is not covered and they refuse to change their code. Now I'm getting bills for hundreds of dollars for the appointment and the xray that I went to and I don't really have a path forward. Do I really want to give them ANOTHER $300-400 for inserts when suddenly this went from being fully covered to not being covered at all?!?!? If you're from the office, I would be happy to change this review if I get additional diagnosis codes and help getting this covered by insurance."

Rarely have to wait more than a couple minutes past my appointment time and Dr. Nolan spends more than the usual amount of time to answer questions and provide thoughtful care. Although the medical ourcome wasn't what I'd hoped for, he was honest, patient and explained the situation clearly. Everyone was professional, friendly & kind. I was fortunate to have found this office and highly recommend them to anyone needing foot and ankle care."
