"Glenda Parker - zero stars Glenda, I’d like to start with letting u know following my appt with u, I paid out of pocket at another clinic whom tested me for the flu. I tested positive & am not only being treated appropriately via rx for the flu, but was informed of how inaccurate & inappropriate your method of care is. I am writing this review with deep hope that it will be shared with Glenda to help bring self awareness regarding her lack of kindness, consideration, & education to help future patients avoid enduring my experience as a 1st & last time patient. Since 12/30, I’ve experienced a high grade fever, chills, intense body aches, dry cough, congestion, and a sore throat that has all progressively worsened despite taking over the counter DayQuil, NyQuil, and ibuprofen. This morning 1/2, I booked an appt at the minute clinic Harrisburg out of pure desperation. My body is in such pain that I can feel my heart beat radiating down my legs and arms. I arrive to my appt this morning, early, I’m taken back 15 mins after the scheduled time, which was no problem. Glenda did not greet me whatsoever. She asked for my symptoms, and spoke over me as she typed them into her computer. I did not take this behavior personal, as Glenda was visibly of 60+ age and many NP’s/Dr’s I’ve worked for (human medicine & vet medicine) practice very straightforward medicine. I didn’t hold Glenda to the standard I have for myself working in patient/client care. Glenda proceeded to tell me “I’m not going to test u for flu because I’m not going to charge the insurance company for something I’m not going to treat. You’ve had symptoms beyond 48 hours.” I’ve never experienced not being tested for the flu because I’ve had symptoms beyond 48 hours (72) and most certainly have never experienced a Nurse Practitioner tell a patient they will not run a test/provide a measure of care because they refuse to “bill the insurance company for something I won’t treat”. I was tested for strep and Covid which both came back negative, but no test for flu. Glenda was far from informative and most certainly had 0 empathy. She continued to tell me that I have the common cold. I expressed to her that I’m unable to walk comfortably due to the aching of my legs and don’t feel safe driving with the pain. For that reason I asked if she’d recommend anything over the counter for the pain. Her response was “I’ll get to that”. Glenda prescribed no medication of any kind. Only recommending over the counter medicine and tea with honey. She expressed how severely red my throat was and also the fluid in my ears. At this time, I had not expressed my concern for her standard of care. That’s when I asked for a doctor’s note for work and not only did it seem unbelievable for me to ask, she stated that I could return to work tomorrow. I further expressed that if my body feels as it does today, I will be unable to make my 1 hour commute on 485 with safety in mind, but I understand if she’s most comfortable with that date per her advise. Glenda then states “u can return to work once u have gone without a fever for 24 hours.” She told me I had a fever prior, so my very kind question was, “don’t I have a fever?” She then stated “no” and quickly in frustration looked at her papers, then stating, “you have a low grade” dismissing me from the clinic area. I then stated, “does the low grade count as a fever? If I have a fever right now, how can you advise that I return to work tomorrow?” She argued that I did not have a fever. The temperature that she took herself and documented as a fever. She then argued that I just had a low grade fever…. She finally took the paper from me, ripped it, and says “do you just want to return Jan 4?!?!?!?!” I said, “the date doesn’t matter to me, can you just mention the piece regarding the fever obligation?” She stated “that is standard. We don’t add that on the paper. Now I can’t even print another one.” She printed the paper, still refusing to mention the fever advice, and extended the return date 1 day. Avoid this location at all costs."
"Usually my service is good, This time I went in for a regular check up and the nurse did a wonderful job until my follow up call and the nurse who called me did not ask me for my name or date of birth she just said everything came back fine but when I looked at mychart is was something different. I have been trying to get into contact with the manager on site with concerns and no response. This is by far the worst experiance ever."
"Do not come here unless you have an appointment. I showed up over 2 hours before closing with severe ear pain hoping to avoid Urgent Care fees I couldn’t afford. No one to be found at the desk so I try and check in on the kiosk. It freezes and so I wait for any employee to come out which takes about 20 minutes. The provider finally emerges and says she’s full and cannot see me (the waiting room was empty except for one person). I had called beforehand and they did not give me this information and told me to come in. Would’ve been nice to know before I wasted my time."
"Went to the Minute Clinic on Poplar Tent Rd. and they had no openings and I could choose another location. The location in Harrisburg shown an opening so I clicked on it and it gave me a check in confirmation number. When I got to Harrisburg the check in confirmation number was invalid. I had taken a pic of the computer screen at the first location so I wouldn’t forget the number. I saw one of the NP’s walking around and didn’t acknowledge I was standing there waiting to ask a question. I sat down and another NP walked by and I told her the situation after I had to get her attention of course. She states oh it must be a glitch in the computer system that they didn’t have any openings today. She then walks off while I’m still talking asking to please be seen today because I have tested positive and sick with Covid. No wonder so many people are dying from Covid, with attitudes like hers for not caring about people I can understand. So now I have wasted gas and time trying to get help and now I have to find somewhere else all the while feeling terrible. I this this lady must have lied when she took her oath to receive her certifications to help heal the sick."
"THEY NEED TO BE FIRED & REPORTED TO THE HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES!!! Some people are secretly taking there own drugs.... They tried to rush me when I was on time for my appointment. They said they were VERY busy with no people waiting (first hand visual). They said they were about to take someone else and they were going to be an hour long. What are you doing that takes an hour and interrupt another person's schedule appointment? Too sum it up, They service when and to whom they want to service to. Don't bother wasting your time and energy."
