"Professional clinic, very organized, clean; Very friendly staff and highly professional doctors. I have come on several occasions as a patient and as a companion mainly and we have always received a pleasant treatment. I would definitely go back to this clinic if I ever needed it."
"This company is a sham. All they care about is money and not your health. My doctor was doctor Steven Ryder. Not a bad person, a real nice guy but was the one who ultimately made a decision to terminate my treatment cause of “none payment. They have heavenly charged my insurance, and in cash. I went to my last appointment after being told that i had met my deductible and was asked for 213.00 which i didnt have, because of this the scheduled me for another day but never told me for when. When I missed the invicible appointment they pulled the plug on my treatment. Do NOT bring them your business, because they will worry more about finances and not your health."
"I don't like leaving disparaging reviews, but my experience with Horizon Eye has not been great. I've primarily been seen at the Huntersville office, and the staff there has been okay, but the one time I was seen at the University office was my last at the practice. I came in for my appointment, already very anxious, and the staff did nothing to make me feel comfortable. I was sitting in the chair and the technician told me to "Hold still!" with no other warning and came at my eye, blowing air in it without telling me what she was doing, and then she proceeded to get frustrated when I blinked my eye. No explanation whatsoever... and it continued when she went to put numbing drops in my eye. I had no warning, no idea what the drops were for (I thought she was dilating my eyes), and she was just very aggressive in her manner overall. I understand you are on a time crunch when you work at a medical office of any type, but have some compassion! If you would take 15 seconds to actually explain what you are doing, maybe your patient wouldn't blink... just a thought! I have seen Dr. Stein for suspected glaucoma, and while I can't say my experience with him personally has been awful, I just don't think he's a good fit for me. I feel that all of my appointments have been very rushed, I haven't gotten clear, concise answers to my questions (which I really need!), and I leave my appointments feeling even worse and more anxious than before I came in. I know that further testing is required before a diagnosis can be made, but I would really love more information about the possibilities than what he has left me with. I don't doubt that he is a good doctor, but due to the bad technicians and lack of compassion from everyone on staff, I have found a new provider whom I hope will give me the time of day that every patient deserves."
"I have visited this location about four times and all experiences at all appointments have been very pleasant. From front desk till I met Dr. Stein at every visit have been excellent. Dr. Stein's associates were exceptionally polite and very courteous. Result of my eye treatment is excellent. I will definitely refer friends to meet Dr. Stein and experience pleasant customer care with him and his associates."
"I was referred to this office when my son was 2. We've come at least every 3 months for the last 15 months (6 visits at least). I arrive early for every appointment and consistently wait in the waiting room 30 minutes past my appointment time. They tell you they operate on "kid time" and can't control how long appointments take. Is it that hard to schedule better?! I keep coming back because my son had lazy eye surgery and we're still finishing check ups. As soon as we're past that I will be changing offices."
