Reviews
"Everything about Lake Wylie Eye was welcoming! The ladies at the front desk were so sweet and super helpful and Dr. Clifton was so nice and knowledgeable. The whole experience made me feel at ease and comfortable. The building is also very clean and welcoming. Highly recommend!"
"I am excited to find an optometrist that I feel comfortable with and don't feel like I'm pushed into unnecessary treatment! I have avoided seeing an optometrist for several years, but reached the age where readers are necessary and I felt like regular eye exams were as well. Dr. Clifton and her staff were all wonderful! They were prompt, friendly, and made me feel comfortable and at ease. The doctor listened to my situation, concerns, and preferences, gave me a thorough eye exam and an honest assessment of my needs. I am happy to have found a doctor I can return to each year for eye care!"
"Update: If you read the response to this review, you will get a clear picture of this office's customer service. I called back to speak to the doctor, and Madison let me know that she would call me back the next morning. She never called back, so I gave up. I have since gone to the Walmart Vision Center in Lake Wylie and left the same day with contacts and a written prescription. The doctor there was ready with multiple prescriptions to ensure I left that day with one that worked. I am shocked how awful my experience at this office has been. Initially, I was happy to find a local eye doctor, but I will not be returning after this visit. The customer service is abysmal. The front desk staff or whoever ordered my contact lenses was incompetent. I try to be fair when it comes to writing reviews, and they made it exceptionally hard for me considering I'm left without a way to see properly at the end of this ordeal (outlined below). I made an appointment over a month in advance of running out of my daily contact lens prescription. When my Thursday appointment was finished, I was told the trial pair of lenses would arrive on the following Tuesday/Wednesday. 1 Week Post Appointment - I did not hear anything by Wednesday, so I called to see if the trial pack was ready. Madison, the front desk employee, said that my order wasn't showing up in the system. I was extremely irritated because I was almost out of contacts at this point. Madison offered no other options to resolve the issue. She said it would be another week until the trial would come in by Tuesday/Wednesday of the following week. By that point, I would be out of contacts. She offered no way to remedy the situation until I had to ask about any other options they had on hand. I was given a two-week pair of contacts that wasn't even the correct prescription to get me by until the next week. 2 Weeks Post Appointment - On Wednesday, I called the office and left a voicemail to see if my trial package arrived. The front office does not answer phones timely, so I had to call back a few more times after I left a voicemail to get a response. Madison let me know that my contacts would be arriving in another week. She did not have any idea of how to resolve this issue other than waiting another week and using the incorrect prescription until then. At the end of the call, I communicated that the office should give people a courtesy call if shipments are running late. She told me it takes 1-2 weeks for contacts to be delivered. I stopped her right there to remind her that she told me for two consecutive weeks that it would less than one week. If the lead time is actually two weeks, that fact needs to be communicated so patients can plan accordingly. I would have asked for my prescription outright and ordered from a different company rather than using an incorrect prescription and waiting around for the office to lead me on week after week."
"I have been going to Lake Wylie Eye for a little bit now and let me just say, they have been the best, most helpful, people! I have been having some problems and have jumped around trying to find a doctor that would help me find the right contact fit for me. I came to Lake Wylie Eye expecting the same but as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with warm smiles and staff that helped me right away. The doctor herself was amazing, patient and helped me find the perfect fit. All I can say is that the staff where extremely nice and the doctor was very caring. I will 100% be coming back!"
"My entire experience with Lake Wylie Eye was great! The office staff was very friendly and the doctor was extremely knowledgeable and patient during the exam. They did a great job helping me and my family select glasses and fit my daughter for contacts. We will definitely be return patients."
