"What a nightmare. Our beloved dog Polly wasn't doing good. We bought her in for an exam. We had her for 12 years and when we adopted her they thought she was 3 to 5 years old. She pretty much wasn't eating and having a hard time walking and breathing. She also developed some bumps that we thought might be cancer. That's why we wanted the exam. While we were waiting (about an hour and a half before the vet came in) we came to the painful decision that maybe it was time to put her down. When the vet came in (which to be fair was a visiting vet) she was just very nasty. Said that we would still have to do the exam which we were fine with. Then she said why weren't we given her her pain medication. Our dog had surgery 2 years prior. She wasn't supposed to be on pain medication anymore. When we adopted her she was being treated for heart worms so we had to wait an extra 2 weeks to get her. This vet asked why we weren't still treating her. We could not believe it. Asking what we were feeding her. It was just awful. It was like she was accusing us. We ended up walking out. It was awful."
