Reviews of West Forsyth Pain Management
"Amazing Dr Amanda Zimmerman Very helpful keeping my pain under control for all the issues I'm combatting"
"Excellent care found here. Very compassionate, understanding professionals who will improve your life. None judge mental. I can function again."
"This practice is one I would recommend to anyone looking for a local pain clinic which will work with you on your needs and also make sure you have the proper care as needed. They are always top notch on returning phone calls and informing you of schedule changes if need be and will work with you if you need to change your appointment."
"I have just started going here and I love it..In most pain clinics they look at you as an addict or drug seeking, they automatically look down on you. I did not get that here at all. She informed me of things that my old pain management office never told me that could have caused a big problem,,,like an accidental OD...She answered all my questions, was very kind and courteous. She gave me options and made me understand things in a way that my one other clinic did not..my old pain clinic,,well the PA I saw over there was horrible, had yelled at me for no reason,,she was just mad at her staff and was yelling so loudly at them I could hear every word,,which I am sure was embarrassing to them too. She also broke doctor-patient confidentially because i told her something or actually asked a question about what my friend that goes there also and she went back to this friend that I had for over 30 years and opened her big mouth and ruined that friendship. I am seriously thinking of taking legal measures,,so Amy is a breath of fresh air and full of knowledge and respect. I do not feel looked down on or that I cannot express my feelings. I never did anything wrong at last pain clinic, always had right amount of level of medicine in my urine, nothing wrong,,and this woman did not think or care about my input or what I was comfortable with at all,,She put me in the ER twice with her brilliant ideas. So yeah this place is great,,Everyone was so mellow and kind..highly recommend."
"Well. When I first went into the office It was all new so it's hard to tell what kind of motives people ( Doctors) have. I was asked some general questions mostly about my pain level and what kind of diagnosis I'd been given in the past. Well I explained to her that I have had a multitude of injections, several chiropractors orthopedic specialist.....Several epidural injections and so on. Well she said if I wanted narcotics she needed a specific diagnosis. Well much of the problems I have were the type of problems that took months and even years to name or discover. She wrote me a prescription for a narcotic pain reliever and that was that for 2 weeks. During my second visit I went into the office and paid my expensive copay and signed some paper work that gave them the authority to charge my insurance. Now I went in and took the usual urine screening and spoke with the nurse about how I felt and my vitals were taken. She never asked me once to bend or turn, twist or turn my head and cough..... Now they new good and well that they would no longer be treating me after today. Why the costly drug screen? Couldn't they call me instead of charging someone on disability for an office visit. Well anyway she said my Ex-ray look normal. My question was why am I in so much pain in my back, my neck, I have been diagnosis of c-4 and c-5, Degenerative disks in my back. I have been to 5 chiropractors, several Orthopedic specialists. I've tried Both pre and plain ole Gabapentin. I've exhausted all the over-the-counter pain relievers for may years as well. I answered all the questions to the best of my ability. Now here is the big problem. I explained to her for the third time since we met that I was a 20 year disabled Firefighter and I believe that a lot of my problem I believe was pinched or nerve damage, just warn out! I'm a diabetic with diagnosed neuropathy. I have never encountered a more apathetic healthcare provider in my life! The only suggestion she had was to go back to my GP??? What? I just came from my GP and he sent me to you! Bedside manor...nowhere to be found? She just couldn't give me narcotics because she would lose her License, she said. I thought that the reason you go to a pain manager is to manage pain. It appears to me the pain manager I went to could not see it in her chart to give me the narcotic pain medication I so desperately need so she just didn't want anything to do with me. She is not in anyway taking care of anybody but herself and the good ole D.E.A. So with no direction I sit here again in Misery and Pain. No help from her or direction of any kind.....Square One!"
