"If you care about your children’s education especially if you have a special needs child, do not send your child to this institution. Communication is poor very poor and the administration does not want to take accountability for anything. Kids should not be on phones and social media during class with teachers knowing and allowing, teachers should be able to control their classes. The only good thing about this school was the fact my son had kids who did not bully him."
"If you care about your child’s education, don’t send them to this school. I repeat, don’t send them to Bonnie Cone. The bad reviews are true. Communication sucks, and the front office never answers the phone. The director isn’t friendly and has no business being over a school. Your child won’t get the middle school experiences here. Oh, I was able to sign my children out without anyone asking for ID. I will say Ms. McGee is an amazing teacher. I’m glad we took our kids out of this school, and we were able to enroll them back at their old school."
"The communication has been the most frustrating things about this school. The newsletters do little to nothing but address the dress code. The tone of the newsletters are very off putting as well. I made the decision to take my child out of this school because of the miscommunication, behavior of the children in the school, and it’s extremely unorganized. She was in 7th grade and the kids were out of control, mean, and bullies! Many days she came home depressed and upset because she couldn’t make any friends and how she was made fun of! She even said the children made a teacher cry! That is unacceptable! Because of the children’s behavior, Teachers are leaving left and right while the children are suffering education wise. My daughters experience was terrible. I would try and call the school to communicate simple things like an absence and no one would answer for HOURS if at all. I sent messages and emails that are still unanswered to this day! The last straw was the 2 lockdowns without communicating to the parents. There was no reason I should have found out the nature of a lockdown from my child when she came home! Think twice about sending your child to this school. You’ll never have any communication from your child’s teachers and/or the school unless it’s about the dress code! I see there are responses to complaints on the other reviews from this school, however, I suggest instead of trying to explain away the wrongs at this school, fix them. Everyone is saying the same thing! It has potential but the communication must change and the curriculum has to be stuck to whether a teacher leaves or not. My child had latin for 1 or 2 weeks and then the teacher quit. He wasn’t the only one."
"Terrible school. Two lockdowns happened in one week, emails weren’t set up until the second month of school, kids are walking all the way down to the field to do PE because they don’t have the gymnasium anymore, and the kids are terrible behavior wise. I’m not sure if it’s only middle school that acts this way, but they’re extremely rowdy and talk constantly during lessons. Teachers are being forced to teach on the stage and in the lobby where classes are going on nearby and you can’t hear anything the teacher is saying. Teachers are leaving constantly because of how bad it is, but it’s fine as long as you’re in dress code. Many say it was better last year. They claim to care so much about education but seventh graders making a teacher cry is a normal occurrence. Do not send your kids here."
"If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely unorganized and no communication. Only worried about dress code when there is a class in the lobby and one on the stage in the gym. Kids eating lunch on the floor because there aren’t enough seats. Not to mention no teacher on the first day, kids moving classrooms because teachers have no lists of names for students, what if there had been an emergency? I guess as long as their in full uniform… My children will NEVER go back."
