"I’ve spent my whole life working with youth helping them explore music and feel better about themselves. About 4 years ago I had the privilege of finding Coastal Enterprises of Wilmington. At first I did some marketing videos for them (Just A Spark Films, my film company) and after we finished I asked what they thought about starting a music program. They said they had, but never had anyone really approach them about it. It’s now 4 years later and I”m very happy to say we are having tremendous success! We first started out with a Christmas concert, then a second one, and now we are doing music videos, recording songs and playing drums and keyboard! Many of these folks are experiencing this for the first time! It has made me realize how important music can be to someone, we never know until we see how it affects someone. Some of these folks have no communication at all, but they are expressing themselves through music! I’m humbled and amazed everyday I get to spend with them. So happy I am a part of their lives. I look forward to every moment I spend with them, not just through music, but as my friends."
