"As I left Rockfish Hoke I was cut off by a bus driver who also flipped me the bird. To act like that while you have elementary students on the bus is ridiculous, dangerous and unacceptable. This is why my children will never ride the Hoke County School Bus."

"Two times now I have had to keep my child home because a substitute bus has driven right past us when they were suppose to stop. The bus is the main way he gets to school. The lack of communication regarding a bus change is also ridiculous. I have never been so frustrated regarding anything."

"These bus drivers don’t mind holding up traffic for kids who aren’t already at the bus stop. Bus 54 will hold up traffic daily to allow parents to arrive to the stop it’s ridiculous. One stop for 2 kids shouldn’t take 6 minutes I actually recorded it today. She will leave the stop sign out the entire time kind you!!! Fix it bus garage. Same driver has kids waiting inside their homes instead of at the bus stop. I get it it’s cold but no reason to hold up traffic on 1 street multiple times 5 min increments each!!!!"

"This bus system is backwards, half of the time the bus does not come on time if it comes at all, or here’s a good one the bus will drive right past your children…. Then a lot of times if you call it’s either they try and say we didn’t see them and I would understand if they were little kids but mine are not, then there is the excuse that we hear all too many times well this bus driver didn’t show up today…… I get that things are complicated right night now for everyone, however this is uncalled for their should be a back up plan at the bus garage….. and the thing that upsets me is that of us parents that have had to bring our children to school late usually get the ugly side eye or some kind of backhanded comment and we are taken to talk about it, but what about the school when the bus doesn’t show up until 9 and school starts at 830….. if you actually want your children to have a decent school experience then do not move into this area it is overcrowded and under funded"

"* ATTN: Hoke County school BUS DRIVERS - Both in the mornings & afternoons the buses/bus drivers are often going too fast in these residential neighborhoods & surrounding areas! I live in a subdivision off Rockfish Rd. & it's very concerning having school buses with rather inattentive drivers flying down our streets, esp. with there's many children of all ages & adults near or in the streets playing, running, walking pets, etc. (since there are no sidewalks) AND there are a lot of loose pets (not mine!), strays, & wildlife around. Remember! Unlike a personal vehicle a large vehicle like a bus has less maneuverability, far more blind-spots, causes more damage, is more dangerous & takes longer to stop, so it's really NOT advisable for them to be speeding nor even going 25mph on these residential streets! ** PLEASE tell your bus drivers to pay better attention to their surroundings & SLOW DOWN !!!
