Reviews
"A fair collection of books, supplemented by the other three libraries in the three county system. In addition, they have a large number of online resources that you can access from home or in the library. They also have a collection of local resources and a local genealogy center. The staff is pleasant and helpful. There are lots of activities, so check their schedule. There is also a large number of books for sale by the Friends of the Library. On a nice weather day you can also spend time with your children on the playground out front."
"Great selection of books on hand! Plus their online library app, Libby, is amazing. The librarians there are some of the kindest I've known. One of the best public libraries I've used out of the hundreds."
"What a great place...very nice and well kept...computers to use and areas to just relax and read...the assistant librarian is very knowledgeable and great resource for local information...or go outside and let the kids place on the playground...or drop off your used books....its a safe space for all...VISIT your local library today...."
"Yancey Public Library is a great place to get books. Great selection. Staff suggestions right inside the front door. Best part is the outstanding staff! Be certain during covid regulations that you call to make an appointment for your visit. They can typically accommodate you right away. Happy reading!"
"Very friendly and personable staff, the facility is beautiful and it's the perfect place to hang out with young kids on a rainy day. They offer great activities like story time and yoga too."
