"When I started school here, I was absolutely terrified, considering I was taken out of homeschooling and being put into a 2nd grade classroom. I was greeted by a very kind teacher and made friends with some other really cool kids. In 3rd grade I had one of the absolute best of the best teachers. The kids in that class ended up growing really close to me. In 4th grade I had a nice teacher but she got pregnant and was replaced with a mediocre substitute. I can't say great things about my 5th grade experience. Only because in the middle of the year we got moved out of the trailers and into a different trailer-ish one room thing. They found mold in the trailers and had to completely revamp. Once that was done we moved into the trailers which had became very nice. But then my teacher who didn't like my friend group (idk why) became sort of emotionally unstable. It's whatever. All the specials teachers (art, dance, cool science, drama, music) were awesome except the music teacher. She just wasn't nice. The principal rocks and overall my expiereance was great! Highly recommended if it's on your plate for elementary school options."
"was so sad to leave, but i got a lot of attention when i retired a old flag at Douglas # years ago, even as a 8th grader at Carroll middle I still like to go see my old teachers after school"
"We are finishing our sixth year at Douglas and have been impressed by the "small school feel" despite its large size. The administration encourages thinking and teaching outside the box and all five of my children are thriving."
"i love this school and i am very sad to at the end of the year. i have had a great time at Douglas."
