"They have doctors in this office who have absolutely no idea what they are doing. I almost had a perfectly healthy relationship ruined over a FALSE POSITIVE STD test. We saw Dr. Brailey "an OBGYN" and its pretty obvious why she is working as a family doctor now instead of in her own practice. She misdiagnosed my partners yeast infection as TRICH, an std, through an outdated microscopy technique. When we told her that it wasn't possible because we haven't cheated on one another, she said she wasn't getting involved. Then I demanded actual lab tests for both my partner and I, to which she replied "I will order it if you ask nicely"... and guess what? A week later both of our tests came back negative and my partner saw a REAL obgyn a few days later who told her that Dr. Brailey is completely wrong and it was just a yeast infection. Dr. Brailey also prescibed us antibiotics that made us sick and, not to mention, antibiotics make yeast infections even worse. I don't know why this doctor behaved this way and it is extremely unprofessional. Even the head physician called and just repeated "no test is 100% accurate" . Which I am sure their legal department told them to say. I will never ever go back to this practice and I recommend you stay away as well. They didn't even offer to compensate us for our antibiotic/visit expenses. Legal recourse may be on its way."
"I had my first appointment with Kristiana Burrell last week and I was extremely impressed with her and the MA that worked me up Kathie. They were both extremely thorough and didn't miss a beat with my care and Kathie is a pleasure. From the time I walked in she was smiling and kind and very patient with me, them Ms. Burrell came in and she to was smiling and kind and took the time to listen to me and my concerns regarding my health. The way that both these ladies were in sync with each other was like nothing I have ever experienced at another doctors office. I am happy with this office and everyone that I met."
"Absolutely the worst experience. When you have an appointment at 3pm And it's 4:15 and you're still waiting.. SHOW consideration And at least acknowledge what the heck is up with the patient. Then you try to reschedule in person?? No way, get lost, we are working and have to take off work for a service that YOU aren't providing. I'd rather go to the VA… if that says anything."
"Was told upon hire that it's such a fun and easy going place to work. That couldn't have been farther from the truth. I was put with the busiest provider there (whom I love) but was expected to do just as much admin as other MAs who only had a few patients a day. Was accused of things that I did not do and when trying to explain something was basically told I was a liar by the new manager there. Was promised all kinds of additional training that never happened, then when it was realized that I wasn't aware of something, I was still blamed for it. Didn't even try to protest because it was my word against theirs. Never had additional help and when I did, was made to feel guilty for it even though I ran my butt off all day every day and didn't stop. The providers are great and do care about their patients, but all the company cares about is how many patients they can cram into one day, every day. You are constantly slammed with some providers while other MAs who aren't as busy and have more time for other stuff just sit there on their phones. AMCHC only pretends to care about company morale. The reality of that is far different. I've never worked in that same field and felt so much like just a number and often went home depressed and like I wasn't good enough. They don't care about improving their employees. They just fire whoever they don't like or whoever they feel is the weakest link instead of trying to help the staff they do have. So glad I'm out of that place now and in a primary care office who appreciates and values me and wants to see me succeed. I go to work much happier now and my current employer is proud of the work I do! Don't even give Appalachian Mountain Community Health Centers a second thought if you’re a job seeker. Great place for patients, but not employees."
"I have been a patient of Casie ward who I am very pleased to have as my doctor. I know he will be leaving soon for a different position, but I have full faith that Lester family care will take care of me."
