The Prescott 126 South Main Street, Kernersville, NC 27284

"About a year ago, I gave The Prescott 5 stars because the food, service and atmosphere were all impeccable. That was not the case tonight. A friend and I ate there and: we were seated in the middle of the floor; it took almost an hour to receive our burger, which was as thick as it was wide (3” x 3”), on a 4”square brioche bun only edible with a knife and fork; and our server was “missing in action” most of the time, (so much so that another server brought out our food, filled our water glasses and removed my friend’s plate after the meal was over). The wait to receive the check exceeded 10 minutes. The food was adequate both in temperature and taste, but not worth the $35.00 we paid for two burgers and water. The bathrooms are no longer labeled for men or women, but both are labeled all inclusive. They are not very clean or aesthetically pleasing."

"We are lucky to have this place here in downtown Kernersville. Cozy, warm and friendly feeling ambience with great food and service. One of if not the best Caesar salad, I have ever experienced. Bits of fried cauliflower, take on a meat like taste and texture, and this salad is quite unique. Make sure to ask your server about swapping out your fries for some of their other delicious sides. Great option for lunch or dinner."

"I just moved to kernersville and had high hopes for this restaurant. To say it was disappointing is a gross understatement. They have so much potential with the location and it’s wasted on undercooked steak and a sad atmosphere. They need a serious rebrand. My medium steak with asparagus was RARE with NO asparagus. We also waited 40 min for apps and were served the equivalent of wonderbread with butter. The martinis were so sweet and not at all what they were supposed to be. Tried for 15 min to pay the check, went up and found our waitress eating French fries behind the host stand. Horrible experience and as someone who just moved here and wanted to love it, will never go back."

"Let’s everyone request the Chef to make the tempura cauliflower into an appetizer… it’s absolutely that amazing! Update: l have been here several times since my original visit, and tried several other items. The experience & food has gotten even better! The service, atmosphere and food at this restaurant is ridiculously wonderful. Wow… what a hidden gem. The tempura Cauliflower Caesar salad was refreshing and thankfully no sticky sweet sauce to distract from the veggies. The lobster bisque was reminiscent of what l had at a hotel in France several years ago. The bread pudding and cinnamon ice-cream would have cost $15 at local ‘French’ restaurants in the Piedmont Triad. Remarkable bread service, and seating is not on top of each other."

"The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. It felt comfortable right from the beginning and the food was fantastic. We had the cauliflower caesar salad, french onion soup, lemon caper grouper and pot roast. Everything was delicious! The presentation was well executed and the flavors were expressive. I highly recommend The Prescott if you haven’t had a chance to try it."
