"If you love trains this place is cool!"
"A must see if you are a history buff or like trains. Just visiting, go check it out. The work and detail they have put into this museum is lovely and astonishing. All the old antiques and tools they have collected are a sight to see in their own."
"This is a wonderful museum filled with history, memorabilia, and model trains. There was a guide for a camp group, but no printed suggestions for touring. The major equipment was limited for experiences, and minimal information. I wished for more people to share their interests and expertise. I understand they have volunteers, but I didn't find one to chat with on a Wed. Parking is free on the same side as the museum and you need a parking slip from the cashier after paying for the admission."
"What a very nice little preserved building. The museum is 1/4th shop, museum, Lionel layout, HO layout. The little theater played a nice short historical video that you should stop in first. Then walk the display cases. I have been to a great many train attractions. I will give the interaction peddles on the layouts we're excellent. I am quite certain that they take some serious abuse from the kids. The HO layout is one of the best interactive display I have seen to date. Large, lots of details, great movement, animations and sound. I would have liked to see more rolling stock and equipment. Obviously this great for kids especially those 10 and younger. But Adults don't fret you'll enjoy yourself too."
"Whether or not you are a train enthusiast, this museum is worth visiting. Adult entry was $10 when we went. It is fairly small, and you could see the whole thing in 2 minutes if you wanted to, but we spent almost an hour and a half reading through all the history blurbs paired with artifacts, watching videos, engaging with the model trains, and climbing on the caboose. They have a well appointed gift shop right up front featuring some model trains for purchase. We had a great time, but we also saw young children and folks twice our age there, so it truly was an experience the whole family could enjoy."
