Hominy Creek River Park

"Good access for parking to enjoy a great walk along the river."

"Nice paved, out and back trail for running. Went in the morning and it was nearly empty. Heads up: large sections of the trail run right along the side of a busy road (at least at 8am). Overall, enjoyed the views of the river and the small rolling hills towards the end of the trail."

"This is a really nice small park at the end of a dead end street. It's my favorite section of the greenbelt, going from here to Carrier Park. There's also a little free library, some benches (and maybe picnic tables, I forget.) Then halfway up the hills is an outdoor gym, and farther up is a larger field that's fairly private from the rest of the park below. There is also homeless activity, of course, but when I went up there it looked pretty clear. And if you look across the water from here, you can see the roofline of the Biltmore! (I think.)"

"Parked here to ride my bike along the French Broad Greenway. Nice spot to park at the south end of the greenway, not a lot of parking so get there early. If you’re looking for a picnic spot there are several more places along the greenway that would be more comfortable. If cycling do not expect to do your top speed. The greenway is a nice place with a lot of walkers who will appreciate your patience in getting around them and letting them know audibly that you are passing them."
