"Nice park, well manicured walking paths, plenty of parking. Water & restrooms closed for winter."
"Very pleasant park by the South Fork New River. The park has five tables, restroom, and two grills (haven't tried them yet). Soccer fields and large green area are available. The walk (bike or run) is relatively flat and very nice by the river, you can hear the water flowing which can help you relax and think. Very beautiful trees with great smells and shade. I have seen a few people fishing there, but I haven't researched (yet) what types of fish can you get. Wish they could put seats directly by the river and/or nice small bridges. Also, maybe organize and plant more types of flowers."
"These were taking on the banks of the South Fork at the park. Clearly the river is not being protected with no erosion control or runoff prevention in place. Fine park and an awesome river which certainly deserves better than this."
"Nice Park. Bathrooms available. (locked during some parts of the winter). There are typically two soccer style fields available most of the year. The third field is the biggest and typically stays busy. This park has an asphalt trail that loops around a soccer field and then meanders by the creek (out and back). At the end of the asphalt trail there is a gravel trail that zig-zags up a mountain and loops at the top. hey have nest boxes out (I believe for Audubon) and most of the year they leave the field around the trail natural. At the creek I've seen people fishing and swimming (i'm not sure of the rules though for it)."
