"I stayed here during December for 9 days while my husband was fighting for his life with cancer in Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Health. I had came down with Covid and had to check into a hotel. When I arrived I was told I was required to valet park my vehicle to stay at this hotel, so I unloaded my luggage and gave my key fob to the valet attendant while I checked in and went to my room. Being that I was sick I didn't leave the hotel until I checked out (I ordered in food and meds). When I got home I realized my husband's Christmas present, my battery charger, and my air compressor was missing from my vehicle. I contacted the hotel and they told me I would have to call the owner of the valet company Hamilton Ross. I spoke with Mr. Ross who seemed apologetic and like he was going to compensate for my loss but he has not returned my calls or texts since. I also contacted the hotel multiple times and they are not returning my calls either. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend using the valet parking or leaving any valuables unattended here."

"I did not even get to a room. The GM has a policy which...forbids locals from staying at his hotel? The young lady working at the front desk explained it in such a way that sounds like it affects the rates at the property. She was nice enough, and presumably cancelled my reservation, but I have a pending charge from them that I now have to call and dispute with my bank. Never in my life have I heard of such a thing. What confuses me is that the man working valet said that there are people from Winston currently staying in the hotel. I lived out of state for a while, but kept my NCDL with my family's address. Had I come to visit during that time, would I have been turned away for being a "local"? This is shady business. It is bad business. Shame on them."

"Staff did not mention or ask me about parking. I did park in the hotel parking behind hotel. The deck was poorly lit, unsecured and a bit dangerous having to walk up decks in dark while a homeless man screamed at me. My credit card was charged for 2 days of parking in parking lot, total of $44. That was never disclosed to me. Refrigerator was broken. A homeless man died in a pool of blood outside my 3rd floor window overnight. The staff at desk were not friendly at all and seemed to have an attitude. One elevator was not working. The other elevator took forever. I would not recommend staying here."

"It was such a great experience at the Downtown Hilton Hotel. The staff was amazing, and the room was perfect. I got in early for my event and needed somewhere to change. They allowed me to utilize early access to my room to get ready before I had to be at my event. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. I will be staying here again."

"This place is wonderful. It's clean, well decorated, well maintained. All in all, it's a good place. The only "down" I encountered was my digital key didn't work at the front door. It was explained to me that the digital key is a little "flaky" at that door. I was coming in after 11 and didn't have to wait long to be let in, but it seems since everything else is done so well, they'd be a little faster at taking care of access to the hotel."
