"Wow what a horrible experience. First room was missing electrical plate covers on the wall. A child could be electrocuted.Unsafe room. The room was filled with cigarette smoke order . The walls were in horrible condition. I have stayed at a lot of older hotel/motels and never had this issues."
"The stay was not good at all. Had no choice Parkway close so we could not travel further. The shower leaked from the room above. Manager offered no solution other than to move. It was late an we were ready for bed. Breakfast was horrible had no plates, knifes and no tables to sit. Only had waffles and cold cereal. Very poor management. Place was dirty and unkept will not stay at another days inn."
"Don't be fooled. This place is not in West Jefferson. Worst motel I ever stayed in. Room was not very clean and was poorly appointed. Bedspreads had stains. Pods were not provided for the coffee maker, nor were cups or drinking glasses. Unheated bathroom was uncomfortable. Had to run about 30 gallons through the hot water tap to get mildly warm water. Meager breakfast offering did not appeal to us since they posted a B sanitation rating. Less than one star if possible. Had to go outside the room to use the WiFi, and even then the connection was spotty. Says little for Wyndham Hotels."
"We stayed in this Days Inn 2 1/2 years ago when we came to visit our relatives. It has definitely declined in quality since then. I don't know if they have changed ownership or if something else is going on. I work for Hilton and my wife works for Hyatt hotels. We chose this location because neither of our hotel brands has a hotel in the area. The furnishings are old and the bed needs to be replaced. Our room was clean and everything works. it looks as if the maintenance engineer has been working hard to try to prolong the life of a really old property. Which is a difficult challenge as the property gets older. Especially when ownership does not work to make the capital improvements necessary. The longer they wait the more a property deteriorates the more it will cost to upgrade and the number of guests who will not return - thus lowering the revenue stream of the hotel. It would be easy to trash this hotel but I won't because of the hardwork and sincere service the staff gave us during our stay. It is clear that the owner, either doesn't know how to run a hotel , or is trying to milk it for everything they can get out of it. My guess is that the hotel has about 1 1/4 to 1 1/5 turns of linen - when the ideal is 2 1/2 turns of linen. The amount of supplies that the housekeeping staff had to work with was pitiful I really feel for these employees. No matter how hard they worked (and everyone of them was working hard) you are at a disadvantage. I hope they turn the ship around. The people were great."
"Stay clear of this hotel. My family and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was awful. My husband and I’s bed sheets , towels and box spring had huge stains on them. We had to request all new bedding from the front desk. The hotel did not have enough towels or rags to accommodate the guests staying there. There was no rags in the room to begin with (The hotel barely had any guests staying at the hotel). My family and I were almost late to our dinner reservation because we were waiting on towels after being on the river most of the day. My sister in laws room had no hot water. This place is very shady! Random vehicles in and out of the parking lot through the hours of the night. Definitely not a place for kids. Wyndham should be ashamed to be associated with this facility."
