"Beautiful small shop, just off the main strip, filled with Italian chandeliers and imported antiques. The two gentlemen that worked there were incredibly friendly. The aisles are slightly tight, and the antiques are of a higher quality, which is why they give caution to people entering the store. Due the fragile nature and value of these items, it’s understandable why the shop owners would be hesitant with large handbags, young children, and entitled tourists. If you are a lover of quality European goods (and baseball cards) definitely check this gem of a shop out!"
"I had a very similar experience to others, and cannot recommend this shop. When we walked in, my sister picked up a dish that she had at home to show me. He immediately started raising his voice and said there was no touching (there were no signs for this). Whatever. The dish she picked up has an online value of around $5… he was charging $75 for this dish. Everything was extremely over priced. He asked that we move our bags to the front of our bodies, even though we were wearing mini backpacks. I understand not wanting your stuff broken, but following us within a foot around the whole store isn’t okay. We were very uncomfortable, and he was very snobby and rude. Wouldn’t have bought anything from him even if I liked it. Very disappointing."
"Terrible shop. Thought I didn’t know anything about coins or antiques that I pointed out and told the owner about. The shop owner is anti-children from the very sign on the door. Owner lied and said Morgan and Peace dollars were an ounce of silver. I caught the owner in his lie and he changed his story. I then told the owner how much actual silver weight he as in the coin and he tried to say no they’re 90% of an ounce. I told him, no, they’re 90% silver but not 90% of an ounce. He said “look, I sell them by the bags of 1000 so I know” WRONG. He also is selling common Morgan and peace dollars in uncirculated condition for $70 each. These coins can be purchased in those common years in that higher grade for $35 from even EBay! Stay far away from this store. Whether you’re buying or selling. Rude and lying people work here. Shame on those men."
"We love to purchase quality antiques from mom and pop shops to keep our American history alive and to help these business owners thrive. We purposely came to Mortons this morning. Was met by an older man. (The owner) I cannot say gentleman. Because from begining of our encounter with him, he was rude, unprofessional, condescending and dismissive. I have never been made to feel like trash in all my life. We're walking in the door to spend money on something we picked out only to feel as if we were below him. Went from asking educational questions over the piece to being so bodily scolded in a raised voice. "are you going to buy it or not?" as he dismissively walked off. Please know all the "pretties in the window" are not worth the drive. When met at the door by the hatefulness of one old man."
