"Splash pad, walking path, dog park, and picnic pavilion are all closed. They are physically fenced off for construction but we have yet to see any work being done. The playground equipment is still accessible and is friendly to a variety of ages abilities so we appreciate that."
"It's a very small park with a family friendly vibe! Full of families with kids in the summer playimg at the splash pad!! I come here to take my dog to the bark park. It doesn't matter if you go to the small or large dogs side, there's plenty of space!"
"Very great park. New and haz a gazebo. Large splash pad and playground. A walk around for the adults. Also a dog park with agility course that's fenced."
"This is a wonderful park. The playground equipment is wheelchair accessible and includes swings, slides, climbing equipment, a merry-go-round and a club house. There all also a lot of really fun, interactive musical equipment sprinkle around as well, such as chimes with attached mallets and drums. The splash pad is also impressive, probably the nicest one I've seen in Winston, with lots of different ways to play. There are arches that spray sheets of water, buckets that fill and then rotate to dump water down, pieces that shoot water that the kids can rotate as well as lots of other little surprises hidden here and there. There even seems to be a fountain table where the kids can move different ramps and pieces to manipulate the water flow over the table. The dog park is nice as well, with two separate areas with lots of space for both large and small dogs to run and play. My only complaints have to do with the landscaping. There is still quite a bit of mud, but I image that will i.prove with time as the grass grows. The other problem I noticed was this green netting that I guess is there to help hold the turf in place, but it is coming up all over the place. It's very thin, so it's hard to see, but it tripped me and my son up frequently and our dog was getting caught in it as well. This is dangerous and could be a potential liability for the city. Hopefully the city can sort that situation out, which would make this my favorite park. I can't wait till the summer when I can bring my son to the splash pad plus, aim excited to be able to give my dog a chance to socialize with other dogs in a controlled environment."
