"My family and I were in the area for vacation for the week and my boyfriend and I went to Southport for a day trip together. We love looking in antique stores and thrift stores. I never write reviews, but this was the most absurd experience I have ever had. My boyfriend and I (23 years old mind you) were looking at an old telephone, we put our own numbers in the dialing part to see how it worked. She randomly comes around the corner like she was following us and starts being passive aggressive, so I assumed she didn’t want us to touch anything (how would we know since there were no signs). We then go to the front to look at jewelry and she walks up to us to scrutinize and scold us like children about the phone again. Extremely rude, unpleasant, passive aggressive, and unprofessional. We left right away because it was extremely awkward and unwelcoming. I hope she can learn how to be kind to people, including young people. Seems as if it is not the first time she was rude to a younger person. Really weird honestly"
"Extremely RUDE old woman runs this store. Visited with my son and daughter and law who always buy at antique stores. We entered with the infant who was well secure from touching anything and she just death glared at us the whole time and spoke very rude to us. We immediately left and recommend no one support this store. Too many nice people in Southport to support her!"
"A very fine antique store. Owner moved here twenty years ago and started this business. She said she used to go the UK twice a year to source her offerings. During COVID the locals sorted through their possessions and brought them in, and that's where she obtained a lot of her current items."
"Thank you MRS KATHY for the very warm welcome into your beautiful store. My favorite item was the Flint Stone dinosaur and Fred, and the roller skates oh and the vacuum. So I guess I had a few favorites. Beautiful displays of dishes and flags and other gems. I guess instead of beautiful I should say it was very ELEGANT! She will be celebrating twenty years of serving this community come this October."
"Soon as we walked in the door a woman working yelled at us about mask. We all had them on. I wanted to see a few items of jewelry displayed. She was so rude and acting like we should leave. We are polite adults obeying rules. I suggest she needs a few days off or close up. No need to be rude to cash pay customer. I did buy my choice piece and tried to be nice. Beware shoppers."
