"The worst towing company in Durham they towed my boyfriend car from Villages at Auburn and he had a parking sticker in the window. We made sure he had a sticker because he had just got towed a week ago without one so that same day I made sure he had a sticker. He had to be late for work because they didn’t open until 8:00 for him to not have to pay because the sticker was in his car. Unwrongful towing and he could have lost his job. How do you all correct a mistake your driver made. So the driver just tows without looking at the windshield or did you assume he didn’t have one this time because he was just towed. That’s not how you do business your job is to check all cars first before towing. Bad place of business do not recommend for any towing needs. This company should be sued for towing a car with a sticker and no apology given."
"I recently had an unfortunate experience with Chandler’s Towing. My car was towed, and the company failed to report this to the local police department as required, which caused unnecessary stress and confusion. To resolve this, I had to personally file the towing report with the police department, and would recommend doing so because of the following reasons: •Legal Compliance with local laws and regulations: • Documentation and dispute resolution incase there’s any disputes about the legality of the tow, charges incurred, or damages to your vehicle. •Tracking towing practices and consumer protection as a pattern of failing to report tows can lead to investigations or corrective actions, such a predatory towing practices. Upon retrieving my vehicle, I was required to pay a steep fee of $265, and the company insisted on cash or debit card payment only, refusing to accept credit cards. This payment method felt a bit unusual and lacked the transparency and consumer protection that credit card payments offer. Moreover, after the towing, I discovered damage to my car’s wheels, which occurred during the towing process. Given these issues, I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contacted the Towing Inspector of Durham to address the unprofessional conduct and the damages incurred. The lack of care and professionalism in handling my vehicle is concerning. I am disappointed with the service and the ensuing complications, including the vehicle damage. I hope that by sharing my experience, others will be aware and cautious when dealing with Chandler’s Towing."
"Our friends car was towed from a parking space and unreported to the police. We called the police and they said nothing had been reported in the last couple hours, so we reported it stolen. Ironically, we met the driver on his way back to our apartment for another tow and he said “he was going to report it after he came back and towed the other car next to it, and that he had 30 minutes. There’s only one problem with that, NC law says you have to report BEFORE you tow unless the vehicle is blocking traffic. It wasn’t blocking anything, and even if it was, chandlers is over 15 minutes from here meaning it had already been well over 30 minutes by the time we spoke with him. This company is just trying to make a quick buck by cutting corners and not operating under the law. Our friend said that the guy in the truck at the gate was hostile and didn’t give her a receipt after paying the fee. I would be surprised if this was not reported at all… like it never happened. What a scam!"
"These people were so nice and helpful to me and my husband. They were very sympathetic to our situation. After giving us our car back with no problems, it was on TWO flat tires!! They found two good tires and installed them...AT NO CHARGE!! Miracle workers all of them. They let me know that they care about people...not just the money."
"I see these other reviews but I genuinely had a great experience with Chandler’s today. I came in around 1:30pm with no appointment. The customer service was great from the time I pulled in the parking lot until the very end. Super nice people! Literally the best I’ve had in years! They took care of my car quickly, I was literally in and out. I’m very big on customer service so for me to rate 5 stars is huge! I will definitely be back and refer others as well!"
