"Be careful when buying meats at La Marqueta, if you do purchase there make sure to check it right away. I usually do not post or talk bad about our local stores but I think I have had enough. Purchased some meat at La Marqueta on Friday afternoon and kept it in my refrigerator until today, yes I know this is 4 days after the fact but that is still not long enough for meat to go bad...at least not meat that is supposed to be fresh. The label on the package said sell by 7/16 so I wouldn't be surprised if some of this meat is still being sold. Anyways, I was getting ready to grill and noticed this awful smell, really bad and the meat looked nasty and was very slimy. Went to the store and explained the situation, the so called manager responded right away and said it was too late for me to report this. That based on store policy they cannot take it back and blah blah blah, to that I said thank you and gave them the meat. Told them to eat it since it is so fresh and walked away. Now this is not the first time I have similar issues there, I have had other issues but with purchases less than $5 so I save myself the hassle and just keep quiet but I've had it. Bad customer service and bad quality products here. Please please check your expiration dates and meats if you buy here."
