"Had an excellent experience at Village Dental. It was the most stress-free and educational experience I've had with a dentist. They are using all of the newest technologies that make the experience very easy. Alexis was very friendly and professional as she did what was necessary to accommodate my time constraints."
"Don’t go here. Completely disappointed. They showed me a gimmicky PowerPoint at the beginning of the visit trying to upsell the services. I thought they were going to try and sell me a timeshare. They also let me know during the visit that they didn’t like to refer to outside providers and that anything I needed they would do themselves. The tech was reading the x-rays to me before the dentist even came in and was telling me I would probably need root canals. Quoted me almost $5,500 (after insurance) to fix my teeth. I was upset about the cost and they gave me a brochure about a credit card. I made an appointment with another dentist the following week to get a second opinion and the new dentist quoted me less than $600 after insurance (and did same day fillings). The dental tech at the new place said that both patients and staff run away from village dental constantly and that their turnover is really high. Save yourself a headache and go literally anywhere else."
"I went to Village Dental on Thursday. This was my first visit at a dentist in the States and I’m more than shocked and disappointed, let me tell you why. I found them on Google - what made them stand out was their 'New Patient Special' they had to offer. A free Exam & X-rays. That was a great opportunity to check them out I thought, so I scheduled my appointment and went in. They were all very friendly and welcoming. They started right away with the X-rays and after that we went in the room where they did the exam and told me what was wrong with my teeth. They say I need to get a root canal & a crown done on the side where I had tooth pain and previously got fillings done back home in May. This didn’t sound right to me at all because crowns are usually one of the last options you have and I take good care of my teeth and I’m only 22 so that couldn’t be true. I was shocked when they gave me an estimate of around $3,500 for one tooth! Then they started to brush my teeth and floss them. I never said that I wanted to have a cleaning nor did they ask me if I want to have a cleaning. I was there for the FREE exam and X-rays - not for anything else. They just did it and then charged me $135 for it at the end, for doing a service I never requested. I never mentioned I wanted to have a cleaning, never texted them that I wanted a cleaning. The only thing I wanted was the Exam and X-rays to see what is “wrong” with my teeth. I will never come back here, I feel like they took advantage of me and if my husband would have been there this wouldn’t have happened. I will report it because this is just not OK."
"IF YOU WANT TO BE UP-SOLD, THIS IS YOUR PLACE! If you want a regular cleaning, don't come here. I signed up for a cleaning (covered by insurance) and they tried to insist I needed an extensive cleaning (up-charge of $249). I go to the dentist every 6 months (previously Fuller in Burlington, NC) and have never been asked or told I needed an extensive cleaning. They also tried to tell me I needed ton of work, but at least 3 crowns right away ($6,991). Granted my teeth aren't perfect, but the prices here compared to my previous dentist for a crown is about $600 higher per crown). I should mention, the first hour they tried to up-sell their services rather than clean my teeth. I was here for a cleaning, not a 1-hour advertisement on what services they provide. Two hours and 15 minutes later, I finally got out the door. But not before they tried to charge me $249 for the extensive cleaning even though I opted out just for the basic. The cleaning itself didn't take more than 15 minutes. The up-sell and wasting of my time.....not appreciated. The one positive, spoke with one of the dentists and seemed to care slightly and seemed more reasonable (start with replacement of one filling with a crown). I do need some work, but three crowns does not cost $7K...unless you do it here."
"Wow I really have nothing but good things to say about this place. Was wanting to find a dental office closer to my new place in Raleigh and I’m so glad I choose village dental. I’m not usually one to write reviews but they truly deserve one. They were extremely thorough with me during my new patient exam and I had my cleaning, filling and crown done less than a week later. I will say it is more on the expensive side compared to other dental offices but you truly get what you pay for. Dr wheeler did an amazing job and the entire staff made me feel so welcome and comfortable. Extremely professional group. I got emotional leaving my appointment today because of how much they restored my confidence in my teeth. Thank you guys!!!"
