"The gentleman at the Fort Fisher side ticket booth today was wonderfully friendly. Once on the ferry, it's a nice half hour ride to Southport. It's been over a decade since I've used this unique aspect of North Carolina infrastructure, but everything seemed maintained and professional. Sure, I could have driven, but that wouldn't have been nearly as interesting."
"Friendly staff! They really make you feel welcome. There are restrooms and soda machines at the terminals at Fort Fisher and Southport terminals. There is also a snack machine and drink machine on board the ferry. I was pleasantly surprised when they asked to see my ID before they swiped my card for payment because I ask for an ID check on the back of my card."
