"The CVS Pharmacy on Oleander Drive in Wilmington, NC has always been a friendly and helpful experience. But my last visit was anything but this description. The Pharmacy cashier only looked me in the eye upon the initial greeting where I identified myself. After this she always looked down -even when I was thanking her for her help. Very disrespectful and disappointing. I hope a manager (hope she wasn’t the manager) will be able to guide this individual to treat her customers properly and respectfully in the future."
"This institution is not following CDC recommended protocols. When I called to schedule the incompetence was astounding. 45 minutes later the only question answered was waiting area protocols which were misleading. I was told for my safety there would be no one waiting in line yet I was 3rd in line for the kiosk and 4th in the waiting room. I refused to wait so they called me in from my car to come in. I paid $80 and no vitals were taken. I accepted the higher rate for my prescription to then be told it would be 30 minutes and to sit in a waiting room full of people after I was just told by the mini clinic doctor covid cases are rising rapidly again and I am smart to be concerned. I tried to call district management after going in circles to obtain the number for 45 minutes. I was told to leave a message and I “might get a call back.” The only attention I received with interest is when I approached a cash register. Shameful … but everyone associated is shameless, incompetent and unaccountable. It’s a system that spreads disease more than it helps from my perspective. A few months later I got a call saying I owed them $45. The collection agency couldn’t explain why only that I have an outstanding balance from this visit. I did not have insurance and paid the balance in full before I left that day. This means they are incompetent at filing paperwork as well. Horrible experience."
"Dropped a compounded prescription off at 9am. Tech said it would be about 2 hours. I said that was fine and to text me when it was ready. At 345pm I still hadn't heard anything so I called. On hold so long I drove over and was waited on in person before anyone answered my call. The tech then asked if I was willing to pay the price of the medication ($33) and I said, "yes, but why didn't someone call and ask me that 5 hours ago?" She shrugged and when I asked how long it was going to take now she said 15 minutes. So, I've waited 8 hours for a prescription that only takes 15 minutes to prepare. Not very happy. I should have gone to King's Compunding down the street. I understand pharmacies get busy, but this was a bit ridiculous. I get the feeling if I hadn't shown up it still wouldn't be taken care of. Now I sit in the parking lot and wait. Sigh...."
"The store itself isn't bad. The pharmacy has a lot of room for improvement, though. Unless things have changed since I worked for the company, there are 3 types of prescriptions in their queue. Waiting, acute, and regularly scheduled prescriptions. I've had a few "acute" prescriptions sent there, which indicates a doctor sent them in and they're of some importance to fill sooner rather than later. Every time, my acute prescriptions are ignored until I go to the store and request to be a waiter. Also, don't waste your time calling the pharmacy. I don't think they care about answering the phone."
"Outstanding customer service makes the difference. The prices are cheaper than average and the location is very convenient if one is in midtown. This location is 24/7 as well."
