"I generally love going here. However, I feel targeted when I have to bring my kids with me. Both are toddlers, and anybody with kids will know how stressful it is to shop while managing younger kids. First time I was there, the lady clerk told us to make sure the kids put the toys back on the shelf and don't leave them on the floor. No biggie. Husband made sure they put the stuff back. And we have made sure they put the toys back EVERY TIME they take one down ever since. That was months ago. Any time we bring the kids with us, even as we're directing our kids to put back whatever they pick up, the same lady comes up and says the same thing - even when my husband is hawking over them to make sure nothing touches the floor. This last instance, just last week, she told us 'customers were complaining '. Mind you, at that point it had been over a month since I brought the kids with me because she has made me feel so uncomfortable and in the crosshairs whenever they come with us. I don't see any other parents being talked to. Why are we being singled out? It's gotten to where I'm on the verge of taking my business - and donations - somewhere else."
"Worst experience! I was assisting an autistic adult. We clearly had a dire situation…needing to pee. I understand store policies. I do… I owned and ran my own retail store. She was told to walk down the road to the chicken place. She couldn’t hardly walk out the door yet made it out side NOT very far and yup you guessed it. So she did the best she could to gather her composure and walk back inside. We obviously first shopped for a pair of pants. Went up the register to purchase..$1. I only had a credit card and no cash. I could not purchase anything with a credit card unless it was over $10. Which we obviously had planned spend more…. we were there to shop. However I asked if there was any way the cashier could remind us to add the $1 to our purchase after we finished shopping. She agreed. Then was trying to find a changing room to change her wet clothes. No dressing rooms. She attempted to change behind a rack of clothing. That’s when I said enough is enough. We put the pants on the counter and left. It’s sad that it only could’ve taken a second to have avoided this whole thing. It’s sad that she couldn’t open a dressing room for her to change. It’s sad that $1 couldn’t be charged to a credit card. It’s sad it prevented her from being able to spend more money in their store. It’s sad that she couldn’t even put dry pants on (it’s 40° outside!) I am just even more saddened actually sickened by the way the cashier just glared and stared while she frantically searched for dry clothes CLEARLY knowing why!!! If it were myself running that store I certainly would’ve looked past all the rules and showed some love and care! Allowing an exception and small emergencies, and of course Covid rules now not allowing someone to use the restroom. What is this world coming to??? They lost multiple customers today not to mention some very eager happy shoppers. We and others typically spend $100’s here. Never again."
"This is a great place to get books. I think it’s fun, because you never know what you’re going to get. There are some real gems there that I otherwise would’ve overlooked. Seriously, you can get books that are $25 brand new for under $3. They even have the books organized by genre. I randomly found 3 books that I’ve never new heard of, but ended up learning a lot about those subjects. I’m a big fan!"
"Today, I had a bad experience at this store. The morning cashier would not bag my items in a convenient way to take to the car. She bagged items in small bags, and clothes in a ripped trash bag, that was almost falling apart. She then refused to bag a boxed shoe and a rolling pin, claiming they didn’t need to be bagged. Even after politely requesting her to put all the items in one big bag, she said all I needed to do would be to roll the cart outside and off load my items, then bring the cart back to the store. To me this is very poor customer service. This is not the first time this particular cashier has been difficult. She tends to ignore a lot of customer questions, as though she doesn’t hear them. As a regular customer, I wonder how long before someone blows up in the store, because of a snobby cashier. I’m aware that she’s new, however she needs training on how to treat customers. Most people come here to support the schools, but not with such service."
"Having a Sale for Memorial Day weekend it's 1/2 off items that are Red or White or Blue in color. I don't get other comments anout rude staff or customers. There is no public restrooms but the staff was nice, friendly as well as other shoppers. There were several name brand items, nice women's clothing. This thrift store doesn't have a bad , musty or moth ball type smell. The entire store was relatively clean. They were always bringing more items out. A Vera Bradly purse ( yes, it was real) for less than $10! There we plenty of other nice items, from clothes( baby, kids, ladies, mens, shoes, golf clubs, lamps, rugs, and toys for all ages of kids. The isles are big enough for the shopping carts to fit through. There are two dressing rooms. There's parking for disabled and the slope in the curb so the side walk is accessible is not too far down the side walk."
