"The only thing is that it was super cloudy the day we went. But it was so cool because you got to walk through the clouds. It’s a really popular and busy spot. So maybe try and go earlier if you don’t want the crowd. Take your jacket because it was cool, windy and sprinkling when we were up there in the clouds. Lol"
"It’s only .5 miles up but it’s steep!!! It’s beautiful… even on cloudy days"
"Fantastic views both driving up and while there. A quite steep hike, however path is fully paved, in good repair. Lots of places to rest for a few minutes. The lookout is great at the top. Kids (6&11) did just fine. Restrooms were available in the parking lot. If you can't hike up, there really are great views just from the parking lot. No problem finding a spot around 740am."
"Very nice place, shame there was so much cloud cover when we went there. The elevation is high as noted, if you aren't physically capable, or have a lot of baggage, this one may be a chore to get to. Rather steep 1/2 mile climb. But, the view is totally worth it. There are also benches periodically to rest and even just standing to catch your breath you can see plenty of scenery. There are bathrooms here, but they are outhouse, hole in the ground type. Useable in a pinch, but plan around that. No running water."
"Strongly advice going early to avoid crowds at the dome and around, and get parking close to the dome. You can drive all the way to the top of the hill, and then walk on the tar road to get to the dome. The walk is only around 0.5 miles, but it is steep and uphill. On a sunny day, the views can be breathtaking (I’ve done this before). This is also a good place to catch a good sunrise if you can get there early morning. Unfortunately, this time we went close to lunch time - it was so crowded and also cloudy. There are restrooms in the parking area, and also a visitor center just at the beginning of the tar road. Follow @ajitho.photography for more tips and hike suggestions :)"
