"We are very impressed with the paint and body work that was done on our Jaguar. Jimmy was so good to work with and the price he quoted was the cost. It's clear to see how they went that extra mile to give us the best finished job. Several people (some of them professionals in that field) have complimented on how great our car looks and what a nice job the folks did at Dark City Customs. Thank you all, and especially Jimmy, for your professionalism and the excellent work on our car."
"Took my gto to them an so glad I did the car looks an drives so much better"
"It’s hard to ignore the growth taking place along the I-40 W corridor leading into Asheville. Towns like Old Fort, Black Mountain, and Swannanoa are in the midst of epic revitalization catalyzed by local weekend tourism and the natural beauty that simply beckons to the passersby. The most important element fueling the rebirth of these hidden gems are the local businesses that have chosen to invest in the best of what these towns and this region can be. One of those businesses is Dark City Customs, where Jimmy and guys reimagine the possibilities for American muscle cars. In fact, if we’re honest, they’ve shown that they possess a unique ability to reimagine the automobile period and their services run the gamut from providing the right accessories to full on restorations. It’s cool places such as this that draw out of towners like myself back again and again. They know cars and they know cool. Whether you’re looking to buy or just want to see some classical mobile art stop by and check them out. They’re the kind of place that may get lost among the restaurants and scenic vistas, but they’re the kind of place that gearheads and car enthusiasts can appreciate. Did I mention they’re cool?"
"They do an amazing job. Got my wheels and tires ordered and installed through them. They knocked it out very quickly and were very helpful in helping me decide what set up I wanted. I will definitely be returning for future work!"
"*Update after response from owner* Definitely have the right place- I found pictures of the guy who sold me the car on their Facebook and Instagram account. And the response didn’t address what I said in the review below- never said you sell used cars. Just that the business was used as a platform for the private sale (ad was on fb marketplace) by someone there, with keys, who acted like he owned the place. With a review like mine, alleging what it does, I would expect an honest place to reach out and try to connect with me to find out the details of what happened, and if any wrong doing occurred, make it right, rather than try to discredit the review by distracting from what it alleged and by discrediting the person who wrote the review. I was sold a 2WD white Tacoma and it was a shady deal. I stand by my honest and, I feel fair, review. I never put it directly on the business but I did link it to the business as it obviously was. Original Review: Guy sold me a truck with a seemingly clean title that came back salvage. It had been in a big crash, and rebuilt. This was never disclosed to me. It was a private sale that he performed on business property, but not through the business, to be fair. Not sure if he is the owner but he presented himself that way. When I told him about the title coming back as salvage, he Would not work with me to make it right. Not only that, but the original seats had been replaced with new seats that were only bolted to the floor with the front two brackets. The seat belt assembly was a part of the seat. This meant that had I been in an accident, the seat belts were effectively useless, and I would have gone through the windshield. I discovered this when I had to brake suddenly one day and the whole seat and me tilted forward into the steering wheel. Kinda scary anyone would sell something like that to another person, knowing the risk to life and limb. I had no recourse as I did not know that it was illegal for me to buy the car from him as his name, nor the companies name, was on the title. He told me it was his bosses truck from SC and he was selling it for him. Which is hind sight was an obvious lie. That mistake was mine, and I should have known better. My own fault. But none the less I felt that I was scammed."
