"Update: after all that he told me my transmission was done for and I might as well just take it to the junkyard I got it looked at by someone competent and my transmission is perfectly fine! I'm pretty sure he never looked at it. GHOSTED ME FOR ALMOST A MONTH WHILE HE HAD MY CAR THEN BLATANTLY LIED I Dropped my car off about three weeks ago and he called me back and left a voicemail about a day later that my car wasn't going to be able to be fixed. I attempted to call him back the next day and nobody answered. I continued to call every day for a week with no answer so I went up to the shop and everything was locked and my car was inside and no one was there so I left a note with my contact info assuming there must have been an emergency. When I finally got a hold of him weeks later he told me that he had told me he was going to be gone for his wife's surgery (he did not that would have been perfectly fine) and that my car had been outside the entire time and I could have gotten it. It was not I live less than five minutes away and pass by frequently and had gone to see if he was there several times. I'm not sure what actually happened but after he had gone on and on about how honest he would be when I dropped the car off this was greatly disappointing and I would not trust him with anything"
"We left our car to be looked at, and then the shop was closed for 3 weeks with no notice, and we could not get our car back. Phone machine wouldn't even take a message. Finally got car back. Would not recommend."
"Joe went above and beyond to repair my car quickly and price was reasonable"
"Great place go about someone who cares....easy get along with and professional. I would tell others about this place"
"Joe put breaks on an older car and did fine with this job. So we took our 2017 Legacy to him for a simple 60K spark plugs replacement. When we went to pick the car up he said there was a "sensor broke and I did not do it". We were not happy but did not say anything. As soon as we started the car there were many trouble lights on (keep in mind the car has 61k miles one it and was just out of factory warranty). We asked what sensor he was talking about and he showed us the oil control valve sensor (this controls the VV Timing). The car would be in serious trouble without this sensor. At this point we knew he had broken the sensor. He had no clue what the sensor was and / or did. We had to spend hours searching the internet and calling Subaru to find the sensor as he was clueless. Subaru said the car would not function with a broken sensor intact, so we knew it was not broken prior to Joes work. We paid for a new sensor and having it shipped. I ask Joe to pay for the part and we would pay for the shipping. Joe refused to help fix his mistake. He has a Bible on his counter and lots of Christian hangings around the office. However, he had a very foul mouth when things did not go his way. The bottom line is Joe would be ok if you had a 1980's car and did not mind your mechanic being untruthful (in my opinion). However, DO NOT trust him on anything newer than 1990. He is a shade tree mechanic good for simple jobs."
