"We visited John Allen Shoes for the first time today, while visiting my in laws. My mother in law has been shopping here for 50+ years, for herself, her children and all of the grandchildren. We came in to get my 18 month old some shoes and I was blown away at the level of customer service, selection of such nice children’s shoes and the wonderful children’s play area!! The next time we are in town from Topsail Beach area we will absolutely be back!! Such a wonderful experience!! You all are the BEST!!! So happy Mary recommended we stop in! Thank you!!"

"The owner Larry helped me find just the right pair for my feet as I am a diabetic!!! He explained the way diabetic people can get a pair of shoes every year with my type of insurance as long as it is proscribed. The store is very clean and they have a wide variety of different shoes for men women or children. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend John Allen shoes to anyone who wants quality shoes!!! Update on my visits… I have several friends that shop only at John Allen Shoes for their shoes!!! Today Carlita waited on me as we shopped for insoles for my daughter and new shoes for myself!!! She was friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of insoles and a beautiful selection of purses and belts. You’ll come in and leave happy with the service and products you buy!!! This store is family owned and operated and they really care for their customers!!!"

"Amazing customer service! It's been a long time since I've been to a store like this. My husband and I took our little boy, just turned one and started walking, to get his first pair of shoes. We were immediately greeted at the door and shown where we should go. The gentleman was great with our son. Measured his little feet and brought out a selection. We took lots of photos because this was a memorable moment for us. The gentleman put the shoes on our son and we had soooo much fun. This is the type of store that used to exist long ago and I enjoyed the ambiance. We will definitely be back! Thank you for this wonderful experience and allowing us to travel back in time."
