"Kirstie was awesome..Very helpful and informative. Looking forward to doing business with her and Cub Creek Cabinets"
"We would not recommend this company purely for their lack of transparency and unethical business practices. We selected to do business with Cub Creek for our large scale kitchen island countertop and smaller areas around the stove, mud room sink, and pantry. This company had executed 2 different jobs for a family member and they had the earliest install date, so we signed our contract. Two weeks before the install date, the company owner templated the space himself. He only used a tape measure and voiced no concerns about the scale of the job. On the day of install, the install crew, which consisted of 4 men and the stone worker, had no moving equipment for this extra-large slab of stone. In fact, the crew utilized the homeowner’s furniture dollies. Needless to say, they dropped the stone and cracked it. Accidents happen, however, the unprofessional manner that Cub Creek handled the situation is why I would not recommend this company. That evening we confirmed the decision that we would like to proceed and place the stone and patch the crack. Since the crew was 6 hours late to the appointment, we were not able to stay until the job’s completion. When we returned in the morning, there was no countertop. When I spoke to the owner, he stated that the team had placed the stone and sent him a picture that he didn’t feel confident about the quality of the job. When I asked to see the picture, he eventually said the team had Facetimed him instead. Next, he told me that the team had discussed how hard this job was going to be to install and had 3 meetings leading up to the install date to discuss how they would do it. When I asked what strategies these extra meetings amounted to, the owner said, “They were going to lift it with their hands.” I also inquired why we as the clients were not informed of their concerns, and the owner said that “he wishes he had”. Next, Cub Creek said that they would not attempt to install the island again without moving it in 2 parts, which would require a seam down the middle. When I said that wasn’t what our contract was for, we agreed to part ways. When we were working out details of a refund, the owner on the call quoted that the sink-cut-out fee was $250, but then switched to $275. When my husband followed up to inquire about the situation, the owner said that the slab “was not big enough for the island,” a detail that would have been discovered after templating, which the owner did himself. When my husband asked to see the broken slab, the man said he wouldn’t let us see it. We had been warned by our contractor that Cub Creek had a reputation of unreliable quality, but we chose them because of their work with our relatives. I believe if you have a small scale job, this company could execute. However, I recommend getting all fees and cost per square footage clearly articulated in your contract before you sign. Also, be sure to include details about templating and measurements so that there isn’t room for ambiguities to be exploited. Also, as a digital marketing professional - it is curious how the "4 star rating" for this business is inflated by "perfect" reviews posted by individuals who are also rating Dollar Generals and Sonic fast food chains."
"Was lied to didn’t finish job messed paint up took a piece of cabinet of didn’t put it back didn’t finish tile and was told it would take two days and still not finished the owner said he would be down and fix everything haven’t seen him or heard from him the job was supposed to be done by 6/6 still not done also run out of caulking and didn’t finish that so I am very disappointed i am updating this review I had to pay a tile man 750 dollars to fix my tile had to pay a carpenter 200 to fix what they messed up and still haven’t heard anything from them so you better get someone else to do the work you need done."
"We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience. Everything was great!! Installers did an excellent job and the work was not subbed out. Very pleased customer. Great with keeping us up to date with scheduling."
"Kirsten did a fabulous job helping us with our kitchen cabinet tops of granite. They are beautiful. There was a little delay on the installation. But they kept us in the loop and they were done efficiently and the installers did an excellent job finishing the job. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing then."
