"The brown stew chicken has to be my favorite since I can no longer do spicy. The wife loves this place."
"Food was no good. The rice is soggy and the oxtail has no flavor. Jamaican rice should be Shelly and oxtail needs to be seasoned. On a good note the oxtail was tender but that all I can say about it. The Spanish guy at the front is really nice but I would not recommend this food. Basically three the rice in the garbage"
"Honestly the food tased like a white boy made it. Beef patty were rock hard as if they were left out for a day. Jerk chicken tasted like BBQ chicken, tasted no jerk seasoning. About the only think that tasted good was the cabbage and. Idk where you get your 4.5 stars but first and last time spending my $30 here."
"Very disappointed. If you want to pay 18$ for a few pieces of thin cut oxtail, bland cabbage, and no plantains or rice coming with your plate, go here. I have eaten a lot of Jamaican food, and I never leave anything left on my plate. I always ask for extra gravy on the rice because the gravy is supposed to be good to the last drop. This did not taste Jamaican. The oxtail was tender, but the sauce honestly tasted like really salty Mccormick roast beef mix. I didn't taste any herbs/thyme, no hint of clove, no scotchbonnet, nothing, just really salty brown sauce. I almost didn't even want to finish it was so salty. When you get the plate it is presented like you get a couple good size pieces of oxtail, but in actuality, they take 1 normal oxtail and slice it into a few pieces. I have never seen this done before and felt so ripped off. I scooted all the oxtail together (3 slices) and it was really just a couple bites of meat per slice, for 18$. Normally you at least get one good size piece and a couple smaller but chunky pieces..This is not a cheap meal. We got 2 plates, my husband and I, and it was nearly 40 dollars for a lot of disappointment. Rice, beans, cabbage, plantains, are cheap ingredients. At least give people willing to pay for oxtail a decent size piece of meat. I will never go back. I gave the rest of the rice and sauce to my dog…I never have done that before. Oh and also they have no beer. "Bar and grill"?"
"Got some jerk chicken and escovitch chicken for lunch with curry vegetables, fries, candied yams and plantains as the sides. The jerk chicken was well flavored and tender. The curry vegetables had the distinct curry flavor. The yams and plantains were excellent. Fries were good. The escovitch chicken had a strong vinegar taste, stronger than expected; didn’t expect it that strong."
