"Everything was incredible!! Best food in Asheville. Roast beef, bbq, fried chicken Mac n cheese, butter potatoes I could go on an on. Lived here my whole life and just drove by tonight and decided to try because we were craving barbecue will be a regular for sure now!! Thanks Bubba"
"I officially found it. The best BBQ place in Asheville. The owner is the sweetest man on earth and his family that is running it is great. The food was out of this world, and was a great price and came out quick! Go support good local folk, it’s way better than the chains around here anyways. 5 stars all day!!"
"As many have written, I'd always wondered about this place, and then it happened! I'm from Kansas City, so you can bet I'm particular bout that Q. All of the other joints in town should send their pit masters here for a humiliating meal of shame for serving such mediocre food at their restaurants. As a former truck driver I was able to drop by some of the best BBQ restaurants across the country. Big J's ranks up there with the best of the best.. 10-4!"
"The best BBQ I have had in Asheville, by far. Staff are awesome and relaxed. Definitely a local gem that needs to be preserved. The pork was incredible with and without the sauce. I could have eaten an entire box of the hush puppies. The cole slaw was a great balance of creamy and vinegar."
"I must have driven by this place a half a dozen times for work and hadn’t had the time to stop. Today I was able to squeak some time in and it was worth it. Not a dine in restaurant more like a take way given its size. How with such a small building they put together such big tasty flavors I’ll never know. My friend had the roast beef and I had fried breaded chicken wings. It was all worth it! I’ll be stopping by here again and getting my favorite new bbq joint!! Cheers!"
