Nama Sushi Bar - Bearden

"This has always been my go to for sushi in Knoxville. That said, there seems to have been a staff turnover recently and I am not impressed. I was charged an additional fee for an item listed on the menu that comes with the meal and told by a server that she couldn't remove the additional charge that came on my bill. I had to get a manager involved to assist. I was also told they were out of tamari (gluten free soy sauce) and then the manager found a full bottle in the back after I had finished my meal. Tighten up Nama or you will lose your loyal customers."

"This is a pretty good option for sushi, although very crowded on thursdays. I was very satisfied with my food and service, and I highly recommend it."

"Make sure to go during half priced nights (Thursday for one). If you do, tip your waiter and bartender. There will probably be a wait for a table hut I got right to the bar. 10/10 best sushi in Knoxville- personal favorite is the Boston roll and Crazy Tuna."

"We heard about this place was famous for their Sweet and Spicy Garlic Beef dish. It was created in 2013 and won an award. The salmon they serve arrives in a whole fish fresh. We were not disappointed. Our server was friendly but seemed a little absent minded. Perhaps he is new."

"Our waiter was polite but anytime he asked us for something he always forgot to bring it.. First was the lemons when we ordered or drinks. Then the lemons again when we ordered our food. Then the lemons again with some soy when the food got there. He was standing around talking and laughing to his staff and then often would make eye contact with him which of course initiated him coming to the table each time he did besides the check. Ultimately resulting in me getting up and getting the soy myself along with finding this long piece of plastic in my ex girlfriend roll. The waiter said it was because they use plastic wrap to roll the rolls but it wasn’t like it was cut in a single piece it was almost like it was mixed in with the cream cheese and crab mixture that’s in the center of the roll. The ended up not charging me for it and offered to make it again but I no longer was interested between the waiter doing his own thing and then the roll I was ready to go. Won’t be going back."
