"Accused of theft despite being a loyal customer. While purchasing a Christmas present a few weeks ago, I was asked to have my bag checked despite no intention to steal or any suspicious behavior. My bag was a big, open brown paper shopping bag from another store in the plaza (Lewisville Gallery), making it very illogical for theft. This left me very confused as to why she would suspect me. The store had security cameras right next to the employee's desk that could have been checked instead. It felt targeted as a teenage girl of a different ethnicity. I'm deeply disappointed that I won't be returning to this store, despite being a frequent customer in the past, having bought from and visited it many times."
