"Poison Rat traps out front and bird whistles. Rat traps literally smelled of dead animal as you walking the store. I think there are 3 rat traps in the front entrance alone. Poison is not what you want to see and death is not what you want to smell when you walk into a luxury - priced grocery store. The whistles are confusing and annoying. Who cares if there are birds out front? If you have a rat problem, it's probably because of food not being kept / cleaned up properly. Probably a corporate short cut that falls on the little guy, but still, do better. More trees = more hawks / snakes = less rats / mice. Convert some parking spaces and pavement into forest. Will help with flooding as well and shade on hot summer days. Don't ever buy poison! It kills the natural predators that would normally control the rodents"
"I figured that I should let all of you fellow sandwich lovers know about the sub sandwiches I've come to crave at this store's Deli Counter. For like, $8.50 ($7 on Fridays) you can order a huge sub, loaded with whatever toppings you like. The one's I've had there come on a cheese-infused sub roll - of perfect texture for a sandwich... filled with a thick layer of sliced ham in my case (about a full 1/2 inch!), several slices of Swiss cheese, lots of pickled jalapeños, lettuce and tomato - with some really good horseradish "sauce". The upshot of all this gushiness is that, after checking out essentially all of the sandwich vendors in my area, I've been so impressed by the quality (and quantity) of these sandwiches that HT has become my go-to for an on the fly lunch (you can order online on the store's website, so it's ready when you get there)... P.S. If you go to some other shop for sandwiches, show them the photo (this is only 1/2 of the sandwich that I wasn't able to finish) attached - maybe they'll be a bit less stingy with the fixins than they might ordinarily be."
"I love Beth the florist! She is always so helpful and excited to put together something for me. She also has the most stunning arrangements in town! She has this section of the store looking amazing! You can see she takes great pride in her work. I love walking through this area of the store. She is my go to for flowers."
"In Boone for a few days and stopped into this store and it's got to be the filthiest grocery store I've ever been in, there was dirt and trash all over the floors. The womens bathroom was disgusting, the sink was stopped up, blood and urine all over the toilets, the stall doors looked like they haven't been cleaned in a year and there were no paper towels in the dispenser. The Starbucks there is just as nasty, guess nobody takes pride in their jobs anymore. Left without purchasing anything and won't be back."
"Very nice grocery store in town. Clean with friendly service. Had a solid beer selection, which was my major motivation for visiting."
