Tuscan Blu Italian Restaurant 327 West Davie Street, Raleigh, NC 27601

"My wife and I went here on a Saturday evening and upon walking in the door there was a guy sitting just inside slouching in his chair and asks, “How many?” We replied with, “just 2”. Then he told one of the waitstaff to “..get them to table 11!”. No welcome or anything. My wife had Sea Bass and I had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo. My wife’s food was delicious, mine not so much. Full disclosure I was. Former Chef in the 90’s so I know and understand Italian food plus I grew up in an Italian restaurant. Noodles way overcooked, supposed to be linguine but they had spaghetti noodles mixed in. This dish is made with marinara sauce, but they had regular sauce and it was bland. Service.. oh boy service was just okay but they waste no time pushing you out the door. We got the check when we received our dessert. How nice is that. No one in that restaurant was personable. When we left the same guy was slouching in his chair at the door and never said goodbye, thank you nothing. This is why they are not busy. I don’t expect them to last much longer."

"This was my first time coming here, and I've been wanting to try it for a while! We came for Raleigh Restaurant Week and I was a pretty disappointed. The food was tasty, but was cold! :( The waiter never came back to check on us so we couldn't even tell him it was cold. We had to flag him down to ask for the check, a box, etc. If you go, plan to pay in cash because they also charge extra for a card and that is not advertised. I won't be coming back unfortunately."

"This was our Christmas Eve dinner. Our server was probably the most unhappy sole we’ve ever came across. He gave my mom an attitude for helping stack plates for him, she was trying to help and he said “that’s not how you do it” . He didn’t come over to check on us and see how we were doing. When we go to restaurants we like to interact with our waiter and he did not want any part of us at all. Food was good but not the best. When we spoke to him about it he said “ We like to give space here” space? You didn’t even check on us to see if we needed more bread or beverages! Our waiter mentioned something to the owner and he didn’t even come over to talk to us. So rude. My mom was reviewing the bill because she didn’t understand why there was two different taxes and he came over and said “ Need something explained” he said it with such attitude. There was also a $5 sharing fee if you share your dish with someone. Like what the heck? We will definitely not be going back ever again."

"I would give this place 100 stars if I could. It’s our favorite spot for date night or dinner with close friends and family in Raleigh. The pasta dishes are the best Italian food we’ve found in the area and for a very reasonable price. The owner and staff are always so kind, making sure all of their guest always feel valued and appreciated! Highly recommend Tuscan Blu!"

"First time to this place and this restaurant has a nice vibe and aesthetic set up. You need to make a reservation beforehand and we did that online. We got chicken Alfredo ($18) and gnocchi pesto con pollo ($18). Menu selection is pretty limited with chicken as the main protein option. The amount of food is quite little and the taste is average."
