The Mill Raleigh

"I came here to eat dinner and have a few drinks. The experience was A1. The steak was absolutely amazingly flavourful..I think this may be the best steak in Raleigh without having to go to a 5 star steak house. The owner/manager Eric went out of his way to go to the Harris Teeter next door to buy A1 for me which I've never seen anyone in a restaurant go over and beyond in that manner. Jordan the bartender is awesome! Friendly, attentive, and makes some mean drinks! Please do yourself a favor a visit this fine establishment!"

"It was Saturday around 5pm and we wanted to try out the re-vamped Mill. Enroute we call to see if they could accommodate a party of 7, and after the hostess checked with the manager, they said yes if you can make it in the next 10 minutes. We made it and they seated us in the dining area in the back near the patio. Surprisingly, there were only 5 other tables occupied and plenty of seating available. During our 1.5 hour dinner, the place never did pack out, so I'm not sure why it was so difficult to accept a party of 7 at 5:30pm. Moving on, our server was polite and helpful, and we got our drinks / apps. The Buffalo Wings and Onion Rings were flavorful and we devoured them quickly. Next we ventured to the Nachos, and here is where things started going South...they were extremely bland! Even the queso had no real taste to it. We asked for salsa, and they had none. We ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and Steak Frites as well, but we were left disappointed. The Pot Pie was bland too with a floppy undercooked crust. The Steak Frites came out somewhat cold. The ambience is a bit high end for what was traditionally a neighborhood bar and grill. That being said, don't go here expecting a sports bar and grill like the older versions of the restaurant. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. Plenty of parking outside as well. Overall, a meh experience...but perhaps I will give the bar side a try next time."

"The service at this restaurant was outstanding. From the warm welcome to attentive waitstaff, they made me feel valued. I ordered the salmon, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Our server (Marissa) was knowledgeable and offered great wine pairings. A memorable dining experience with exceptional service. Highly recommended!"

"If you're thinking of trying this place, do it! You won't regret it. We made a reservation and was seated promptly on our arrival. Evan was our server, and he was super quick and efficient. The patio area is cozy and clean with flowers. Service was crazy fast. We tried a couple of drinks, and the bartenders were definitely on point. I tried the rye crusted salmon, as pictured. The flavors were fantastic, and everything was cooked perfectly. The others in my party tried the pork chop with blue cheese mac and cheese and the fish and chips. Everything was cooked beautifully. We all split a slice of cheesecake, which is made in house and is easily the best we've had. The menu feels high end, the quality is fantastic, but the prices are still reasonable. We will definitely be back."
