World Market

"I really like their selection, especially the international food and drink. We've never had a problem there until recently. We bought two bags of cookies in early December, opened them on Christmas, discovered they were stale and went to return them with the receipt on the 30th. We were told that the store manager doesn't allow food returns. But half the store is food? Also, the website AND receipt both state that World Market allows returns within 60 days with a receipt...I don't understand. I think we're going to have to find a different international store, this whole thing just feels icky, if customers are expected to follow the rules, why isn't the store following its own rules? We just had something like 5 cashiers and a shift supervisor staring at us saying they couldn't help us while we were standing there awkwardly with our receipt and stale cookies...horrible."

"Shopped at this location several months ago with my husband and had a questionable experience with their cashier. I am of a multicultural background and am married to a white husband. An older lady helped us out at the register, but she would not speak to me nor look at me. She would only speak to my husband. As she scanned each item, she smiled and addressed my husband but lacked any eye contact with me. As the transaction ended and the receipt was printed, I reached out to grab the receipt and the cashier passed my hand and instead gave the receipt to my husband. We left feeling very distressed!"

"The wife always talked about the store but it was the first time that I went to it. It wasn't exactly what I expected as it had more than food. That's not a bad thing at all. I saw a few that would be great decor for the house. The store was well organized and clean with a lot of interesting food choices. The kids picked out some stuff they liked too. The staff was courteous and the checkout line was very prompt and quick flowing."
