"Rude customer service. Especially the manager there. She is cold and impatient. And watch out, they consider exchange as return, so after 30 days, you can’t return nor exchange. What a terrible company!! Never want to go back there again."
"I have never been so disrespected and racially profiled bf to this extent. I was a employee here who worked under the manger kiersten. I go in for the interview and had to go back and forth with her and customers bc she didn’t schedule enough ppl during the time of our interview to have a proper interview. I ended up staying I. There way longer then I should’ve. Shortly after I undergo the hiring process and the background check and I was informed that I would be ready to start training on Thursday around 2:30pm. I get to the store and walk up to kiersten to say Hi. I’m super excited to start and I ask her what I should do first. She informs me thst the manger she was going to be training me with is currently on break and I would need to wait an additional 15 minutes bf we can actually start. She tells me for now you can just walk around the store. I was like okay sounds good will I be getting paid for my training? She says No. I was like excuse me what do you mean I thought you said employees get paid for the training? We eventually reach understanding that I would not be getting paid for the time I wait but I will be compensated for my time training. We go our separate ways and I go and wait the 10-15 minutes until I start. Soon after the manger Kiersten calls me over standing next to the 2nd manger on duty, Elizabeth. I introduce myself to Elizabeth and tell her I’m ready to start. Kiersten then informs me that today actually wasn’t going to workout and that we should try again another time. I’m confused and I ask her I’d everything okay what’s the issue? She tells me it’s bc I came in aggressive and with an attitude? I’m completely lost at this point because I never came in with a attitude and I definitely wasn’t being aggressive. Apparently if someone asks you if they are getting paid for their shift and asks questions to clarify that then they are being aggressive. I look over to Elizabeth and tell her that’s she’s only heard one side of the story and that in no way did I threaten or have a negative attitude towards the manger. Kiersten then interrupt me, and says that I actually don’t work here and that I making it all up and that I was never scheduled to work. I tell her that is completely false and I have receipts to prove it because on Wednesday morning you informed me that I would be training Thursday at 2:30 PM and I’ve already completed the background check as well as the paperwork needed so obviously if I’ve moved on to the training faze then I am most definitely an employee. She then calls the police on me because I insisted on getting answers for why I’m being sent home for showing up when I was asked to. I came prepared but the management had nothing prepared. I then realize going back-and-forth with this manager is not worth my time. I asked Miss Elizabeth if it was OK to head to the back and grab my belongings. Miss Kiersten then interrupted me, saying that I was not an employee, and that I needed to keep my voice down. I was speaking in a monotone voice the entire time and I did not even yell at her. I didn’t tell her if you feel like I’m being too loud I have no issue heading somewhere more private to have this conversation. She tells me I am not going anywhere with you. I tell her that is totally fine, but I still need my belongings , she tells me the break room it’s for employees only and I was not one. Regardless of whether she believed I was employee or not an employee I still had my belongings and their break room. I then ask Miss Elizabeth, if she could grab my belongings from the break room for me, since Miss Kirsten felt to threaten to go with me, and too arrogant to grab it for me. eventually, I get my belongings and I leave. Not only was I profiled, stereotyped, disrespected, and taken advantage of but I was also embarrassed and humiliated in front of all the guests in the store who had to encounter the whole thing. my Banana Republic experience has been ruined and I will not set foot back into that store until she is fired."
"Went here the other week. Shawn was fantastic. You gotta give this guy a raise; he's that helpful. Went in to just buy one thing, ended up with 3 pairs of pants. I'll definitely be returning!"
"I typically do not post reviews, however, Elizabeth provided what may have been the best customer service I have ever experienced that I needed to recognize her efforts. This is not an understatement. Elizabeth spent nearly two hours with me on a Friday evening, providing outfit suggestions, selecting tops/bottoms, correct sizing, etc. I was on a tight deadline to find an outfit for an interview and I honestly do not know if it would have been possible without Elizabeth. She was so genuine and patient and made what was supposed to be a stressful shop a very pleasant one. Make sure you ask for her when you visit BR."
"I had reached the state of gift-buying frenzy when I walked into Banana Republic. I had a long list of people to buy for and a limited budget. To my delight, they were offering irresistible sales. As I walked around the store looking for the perfect item for each person, the sales people were friendly and available, but were not pushy or overbearing. As they straightened merchandise on tables, keeping everything tidy and easy to see, they made light-hearted conversation and made it easy for me to ask questions, again without feeling pressured to hurry or to buy anything. They helped find sizes and colors. It felt like shopping with a friend. Then I arrived at the cash register, where the person ringing up my purchases went above and beyond any service I have ever received anywhere. She made sure I was able to use all my discount codes. She ran the gift receipts and carefully matched them to each article of clothing. She gave me gift boxes, and she did all of this with a smile. I can hardly wait to go back again to this store where I truly felt valued as a person and not just another customer."
