"Halmonie’s food is warm and comforting! I ordered teokduk soup! It was so immensely flavorful and jam packed with memories of home. If you miss home, come to halmonie’s (grandma’s) restaurant. She has her photos of the entirety of the family on display and was even featured in charlottes eateries magazines. She makes banchon (Korean side dishes, especially for Korean BBQ!) for sell, that is separate from what super G mart sells, and it’s at a much adorable pricing and it’s homemade by halmonie and it is right in front of the restaurant for you to grab and buy. Atmosphere super friendly, and her diverse staff is super welcoming and all smiles. They work hard, so come support them! :D"
"The kimchi was outstanding hands down amazing cozy establishment inside of a store."
"Hot Korean food cooked to order in a grocery store. The food is delicious. Got one of the best sellers #13. So good. Definitely coming back."
"This was my first time trying the food counters inside Super G Mart (Independence Avenue). I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor and quality of the food at the aptly named Korean Restaurant. The service was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the bulgogi, which came out fresh and hot. The gochujang sauce was perfect, being more spicy than sweet. I was not a fan of the accompanying kimchi, which did not taste fresh and was relatively dry. I also was surprised at the high price ($13.99 + tax). Overall, I felt that the portion was ideal and the flavors were excellent and authentic. I would recommend to others, but don’t expect a “cheap eat.”"
