"I had a Stromboli that was great. Others had a very good puzza. Service was excellent. The place is a landmark, but it really needs a coat of paint in lighter, fresher colors. It's looking dingy inside."

"This place is ranked as the best place for pizza in Apex so we thought we would give it a try. This place is VERY small which would normally not be a deal breaker but the tables were extremely close together. The server had to squeeze between ours and another table and kept bumping into my seat. Neither time did she apologize. Besides the size of the place, the atmosphere and service was just ok. Nothing horrible but nothing stood out either. We were not greeted when we walked in. We randomly chose a table and sat ourselves. Our server was mediocre. She was nice enough and though she glanced our direction a couple times, she never checked on us until she brought the check. Now let's get down to the main attraction, the food! Though this place boasts it's New York style pizza, being born and raised in that area I can tell you it was far from it. The food looked good but it was bland, bland, bland. The pizza sauce tasted more like tomato paste and the toppings were definitely your run of the mill ingredients. I did see customers with other dishes that looked appetizing but again, looks can be deceiving. Overall, I gave this place a 3.0. Maybe it was just an off day. I'll let you be the judge of that."
