"FOOD POISONING! Visited on 01/13/2024. Ordered Veg Manchurian, Rasam and South Indian Central (Idli and Vadas) Food tasted good but no idea what was in it - I experienced nausea, dizzyness and fever within a couple of hours of eating here. Diarrhea and digestion issues over the next couple of days. What's worse is I had only teo pieces of the Manchurian so what was in there had to be bad. If I had the whole dish, I'd probably have ended up in the hospital. Got food poisoning from Manchurian (friend who was with me had the South Indian Central and didn't get sick) First one star review in NC - I really hated having to do this, I like supporting local businesses but this is unacceptable"
"Tried Sunday lunch first time and not much crowded. I took masala dosa and a Chai as it was bit early. I liked the dosa and masala was delicious. The chutneys are pretty decent. Green chutney, I thought it was made of coconut, but not felt like that. The Chai was exceptionally good, nice cardamom flavor. Must try. I ordered Dum Mutton Buryani for take away as well. Surprised by the quantity. It's a lot. Well enough for 2. Lots of meat and masala was really good and I can taste the flavors went into the each meat pieces. My first visit is very satisfying and planning to visit when possible. BTW, lots of parking on the adjacent parking lot and few on the road as well."
"Decent restaurant. Was my first time here. Except the tandoori chicken, all other dishes were spot on. Tandoori chicken has room for improvement. I thought the meat was not fresh. Will revisit yo try out other dishes."
"Godavari is synonymous with authentic south Indian cuisine.. We tried this restaurant earlier and liked the food, so thought of give it another try. We ordered Chicken 555 and Chicken Lollypop. We categorically told to make the food as less spicy as possible. Chicken 555 was delicious, Chicken was cooked perfectly. The green chilly paste was smelling good as well. As green chilly it was expected to be hot. However the Chicken lollipop was a complete mess. It was horribly spicy. It was that spicy, instantly it burnt the palate and I couldn't get any more taste of the food. Chefs serving in Indian restaurants should understand, Red Chilly is not SPICE. Taste of Indian food lies in different Indian spices. Putting more red chilly and calling the food spicy is only making it more awful."
