"Food on top, one of the best tacos, tortas, and even burgers I've ever tried, really recommend it, and portions are great based on the price, I go here every week with my friend and is never a disappointment. Costumer service is always on top as well, the lady that is normally over in the counter is so patient and helpful that makes go to that place even more. 20/10 overall."

"This sad excuse for Mexican food… missing items from my order, bland as paper. Thank god I got sauce. Microwaved French fries? Why was I given white rice with a piece of corn and one pea in it? Who wants white rice from a Mexican place? Drinking paint would’ve been more satisfying than this food. Trash."

"The campechano mixed meat was way too greasy unfortunately. I couldn't finish. The guac was good and I enjoyed the service. I will be back but will stay away from the chorizo as it really upset my stomach. I don't normally have that problem. They do have a much wider variety of meet compared to other Mexican restaurants..like cabeza and suadero"

"Checked out Taqueria 1 for lunch in our quest for finding legit west-coast style taqueria fare. Taqueria 1 was good. It’s a clean space and has been updated since the deli closed a few years ago. We tried an array of food. The tacos were solid. Fresh hand made tortillas make all the difference. The Torta Al Pastor had food flavor and heat with added jalapeños. The burrito was good as well. Not entirely a Mission style burrito but it was filling and flavorful. Parking is simple in the lot. This strip mall (and surrounding parts on Independence) has certainly seen better days but Taq 1 is an oasis on the strip. Worth a shot if you’re driving by and in need of a Mex fix. Get in."
