"Anytime I come inside to place a pickup order, the employees are cold & standoffish. Maybe my money is no good in person. I began ordering online & my hibachi is completely bland & unseasoned. Even after putting in a request to season my plate, I don't receive a sprinkle of salt. So glad Sake on Franklin is back open, they offer better tasting food & much larger portions. Don't recommend & would not return."

"Not bad! For a small casual place around a shopping center it exceeded my expectations. The quality of sushi and the fish that goes into it is better than the average around the greater Charlotte area, for sure. Friendly service, couldn't complain there. I'm between 4/5 and 5/5 on the rating here. In absolute terms it's a little short of 5/5 sushi for me. With that said, granted I don't know the Gastonia area all that well... but I feel like to find better stuff you'd have to drive into Charlotte. It's far out the way for me living on the east side of Lake Norman, but if you're around Gastonia I think it's worth a shout!"

"Service was friendly. The sushi and sashimi were good. The price was affordable. We weren't fans of the miso soup or the small side salad. The dining area was pretty small, probably more popular as a take-out restaurant."
