"This is an order at the counter and pick up your food. No table service at all. The restaurant was clean with planters along the windows. The first time I ate here, I ordered one of the specialty rolls (can't recall the name). It had tuna, avocado, salmon, and a white fish; with crab salad inside; eight pieces total. I though it was excellent (the fish was very fresh), although on the pricey side. On my second visit, I was very disappointed. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and tuna roll. The tuna was not prepared properly, as there still sinew, which should have been removed. This made tough to eat. The shrimp tempura: It was the slimmest shrimp tempura I've ever seen! The roll was mostly rice and crab salad. It was messy to eat, as it fell apart when picking them up with my chopsticks. The first visit was great, but not the second time."

"I had a spicy roll of some kind. My wife had the shrimp roll. My son had the spicy crab roll and a chicken teriyaki bowl. The food was great. The rolls were some of the best I’ve had outside of California. The service was amazing too. I’m very surprised that a restaurant that’s only been open a week would be run so smoothly. I’ll definitely be eating here again and again."

"Wonderful food and beautifully decorated venue. My husband and I have been here at least 3 times already and plan to do so more often. The chef and his family are friendly and prove they care about everything they do. The quality of the food is apparent in how they present even the take-away dishes (we have yet to dine-in). We have gotten the Hibachi Chicken, Teriyaki, and Shrimp and Filet Entrees/Bowls, Kamakaze Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Shrimp Tempura (side) and Eggrolls. We have enjoyed the house-made Sakura and Ginger Sauces with all of those dishes. Highly recommend this place and I hope you enjoy like we have!"

"My wife and I enjoyed Yaki Express 'takeout' tonight very much. She had 'Steak Hibachi' and I had 'Chicken & Shrimp Hibachi'. Both dishes were excellent. Taste was great and quantity was good. I was impressed by the very pleasant hostess/cashier AND by the restaurant's decor. Will definitely be going again soon and highly recommend Yaki Express to you. A note about the hibachi dishes: Both dishes were cooked with a very light glaze of teriyaki sauce. If you preferred the protein cooked without the teriyaki I feel sure that they would oblige. Pictured below are our dishes when we arrived home with the orders. The presentation was nice EVEN when transported 4 miles to home."
